excellent framing for a very nice subject.The colours of your photo is very nice.The only thing that i can find to disagree is that your post proccess give to the photo a little bit the texture of a painting.Overall excellent for my eyes.

I particularly like the work on the bridge shadow being cast on the water - and I'm actually wondering if this was natural as where would the angle of light come from? The water colour is different on one side of the water (from the lights?) But why no lights on the other side?

If it is all natural it's great. If there is judicious photoshop editing it's still great! Fantastic work.

@ Once – I guess the texture in the sky does give the image a "painted" feel. This is a result of cloud movements during the long exposure.

@ ahutchinson - the shadows are real, cast by the street lights on the bridge. The lights run down the centre of the bridge, and shadows are from the hand railings at the edge of the pedestrian walkway. The edge of the bridge's shadow coincides with the edge of the bridge's reflection, so all the water you see under the bridge and beyond the right hand side of the reflection is in shadow.

This is terrific! The only thing bad I can say would be that I'd rather have seen it in the Long Exposure category! I love the colors, the overall soft feeling it has from the motion of the long exposure, and the lights, especially the star-burst effect of the bridge lights. Well done!

@ manickavelu - I adjusted the white balance to remove the orange cast from the sodium street lighting. This gave the deep blue sky. I then tweaked the exposure, brightness and contrast settings in RAW to create three exposures, one for the sky, one for the foreground, and one slightly darker just to get some detail back into the bright lights.

Fantastic image. I love the efffect of the long exposure, the quality of light, color... just great. Kudos.
