Very nice relation betweeen sky and different blue colors of the boat, accentuated (I think) intentionally by the big blue sky of main composition.

beautiful! where was this shot taken?
duncmc (Duncan McMillan) said 1 year ago:
Jenine - thanks for the comment. This is St. Mary’s Church in the village of Elloughton, East Yorkshire in the UK.
Thanks to all those who rated to get this featured!

it's images like this that continue to amaze me of what's out there.
We just don't have cool grave yards like this in Canada. The composition
the colours and the subject are what make this one fantastic shot.

I get goosebumps just looking at it! It's like something out of a Gothic novel.
Did (Didier Toulouze) said 11 months ago:
Great shot and I like the post-processing (HDR ?).

The Process Of Crossing Shot with a Vredeborch Felica - the “posh” toy camera, on Provia 100F and cross-processed. The Humber Bridge, East Yorkshire, UK.
Thanks Arne!

This is wicked Duncan! I can't get over the detail and the processing is stunning.
bslomovic (Brant Slomovic) said 11 months ago:
Oh, and congrats on the well deserved feature. You really used the frame beautifully and thus the high relevance for the theme.
taikrixel (thomas mueller) said 11 months ago:
really cool angle and the crossprocessing works very well. i like the line, the bridge builded, through the square.
excellent!

Wow nice photo. Was Orion added post production?
duncmc (Duncan McMillan) said 1 year ago:
Thanks againt to everyone for your comments.
@ caryscott – There was very little post production on this. Orion wasn’t visible when I took the picture because of the mist over the river, but the longe exposure alllowed the stars to burn through. Other than adjusting the white balance in RAW and using a second exposure layer to enhance detail in the underside of the bridge, this is as shot.

Thanks Vernon - this is York Minster (the largest gothic cathedral in northern Europe) in the city of York, UK. This area is usually busy with tourists - I was lucky to get such a clear shot on a Sunday afternoon.
AngryBuddah - thanks. And thanks to all who rated for getting this featured.

I love the silver
woodpulp (A. Craig Snyder) said 1 year ago:
Love the shot and the composition. Also like that Orion is in the sky. the fact that it looks like its been heavily processed (in a good way) makes it seem unreal and fantasy-like. Mysterious like Krossi said.
