That's a very clever take on the topic. Nicely executed as well. :)

I also like it!

Yeah, I agree there is an element of mystery. However, I think the foreground is a bit too heavy. The distortion of the blur is a little overpowering, but I do love that funky lime green tone.
AntoineB (Antoine BARBOT) said 1 year ago:
very good shoot
i think, me too, the fourground is too important in the photo. But it's still a beautifull photograph
derLitograph (Manuel Waldhans) said 1 year ago:
love it. Great

I'm typing it here, because I don't see any 'reply section' so I don't know if you would get the message.
So, you were looking at a whole bunch of young plants in plastic pots with tabs to hang in a hot-house.
You are doing quite something for photography I want to add. That is if we're talking about the same Brandon Stone.
I'm still thinking the way images get posted on Vazaar. Very good principal, but still trying to get used to it. But then again, I'm only about three days young here so...
PS: still working on an own blog to go for photobloggies one day. At the moment it's aminus3 and onexposure.
This message is brought to you by Robin Roels ;-)

Great work Vernon. My best scientific guess is very heavy.
Heath (Heath Carney) said 1 year ago:
My best science teacher answer is: "Well, that depends on how big it is. Lets assume it's 1 cubic kilometer (a cube, 1km on each side). In that case, it would weigh around 635 million kilograms."
Oh, great shot, btw! :)
VernonTrent (Vernon Trent) said 1 year ago:
thanks for your answers :-)
this one was about 6 km long, 3 km wide and 1,5 km tall. 1 cubic meter has a weight of app. 1,2 kg
an incredible weight just floating about us :)

If I knew how to type a wolf whistle, then that's what my comment would be. I love this photo, the contrast is superb.

Fantastic. I love the processing. And it's cool to see the top of the building in the right bottom corner.
mikeock (Mike Adams) said 1 year ago:
The top of the building makes it look like you can climb right into the cloud!
Very nicely done!
dcrphotography (Daniel) said 1 year ago:
The first featured and, thus far, the best image I have seen for this theme.

Very nice reflection. I like the fact that buildings are visible only in reflection.

I really like how you've made the comparison image here. You can really tell the difference.
chromadreams (David) said 1 year ago:
much more better the result than the original, such a good tutorial of your work with this picture, I'm gonna try something as soon as possible.
Thanks for the Tuto.
byutanner (Jason Tanner) said 1 year ago:
I tried your tutorial and I thought the colors showed better without desaturating the image. Your sample image is great btw. Good tutorial. How did your colors get to stand out so much in yours?
derLitograph (Manuel Waldhans) said 1 year ago:
@byutanner: Hi Jason, maybe you have to play with the midtone-contrast or the opacity of the layer.
You can send me your image and I will take a look?!

What a cool shot with these lines and contrast. Well done.
chrislaw2007 added a critique 1 year ago:
I think this works very well as an abstract. I might suggest cropping some of the dark part of the image - I find the darker parts on the image extend a little too long without changing in tone or adding much to the rest of image. I agree with the other posters that the symmetry is perfect.

So many reflexions in one shot. I like it. Good job.
Agresticguy said 1 year ago:
It's hard enough to get a good composition of one image, you've captured several layers of good composition in one image. Amazing.

Did you use Photoshop to create this reflection?
psychodudu (Andrew Parker) said 1 year ago:
No. The light was fantastic that day. This was taken right outside where I work.
Seriously, post processing was minimal here.
Thanks for your comment.
This is such a great idea ! Love it !
