Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, I can't tell. It seems the foremost glasses are a bit soft. Maybe from camera shake or a touch too shallow depth of field, I'm not sure.

dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:

Personally think this is a pretty cool photo. I think I realy like it.

TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 11 months ago:

I really like this picture. The black and white really works and I really love the white edges of the glasses. The repetition of the glasses with different shapes is nice and the wood through the glass looks great.

lightholder (Kimberly Lightholder) added a critique 1 year ago:

Gorgeous. Your eye is so good. The shadows are dark, but actually like it that way. Its a piece of art, therefore subject to high contrast as part of the photographer's vision. I probably would have done the same... but I apparently am a big sucker for blown detail. :)

I'm brilliant btw. How are you? Incidentally, I think you should post this.

Love love love your style.

dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:

Absolutley love this.. Didn't think it was great until I saw the big version. Very nice!

It is scary and it looks like the face of a hairy monster, it's intruiging

dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:

Cool.. It does look like a very blured photo of a gorilla with it's mouth open and growling. grr :)

CodeRed (Cody Redmon) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think we're all on the same page on this one. Great shot...looks like miffed gorilla taking his/her revenge. You can almost see hair on its chest, and the impression of a clavicle. Nice, scary work, anke!

I have to say, I don't get this. Makes me wonder about the catagorie.

What a beautiful piece of art! Very interesting effect created here - the comp. is strong, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous.

Best,
Jon

Ana (Ana Cortez) added a critique 7 months ago:

I think that without so much of the colour saturation (or any colour at all) this would be quite nice.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough in my statement regarding the composite ~ only because it is such a wonderful once in a lifetime shot someone could. think it was a composite. I didn't mean to imply that I thought it was! :)

I myself captured some lightening this summer, tho not nearly as dramatic or beautiful; but a cool thing anyway.

If you're interested, you can see it here:

Lightning photos are my favorite. I also try to capture it but have yet to be successful. I love the picture and hopefully one day I will submit one as great as yours.

athamanass (thanos) added a critique 1 year ago:

It's strange way of thinking but the fact that this image could easily be a composite makes it less important than it should be. Eventhough it real and what you capture is very unique we have seen it so many times in fake images and thus a little bit of magic and power is lost.
Of course as everybody else I think it's a brilliant shot anyway

Sonoma added a critique 11 months ago:

Great shot. Timing IS everything. Lonely country feel, awesome.

shivahuja (shiv ahuja) added a critique 7 months ago:

amazing shot,not much critique possible,
but if i were nitpicking,i'd wonder what this shot would look like if it were wider.

Nice shot !
Perhaps to 'border line' on the right side (the ring is croped) - I think it should have be better if more zoom out.

Cheers,

Guillaume

Absolutley beautiful shot. The vibrant colors and clarity make this a pleasure to look at. Very nicely done.

marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great shoot love the shapness off the beak
color vibrant, texture
just wish eyes was sharper, maybe a sligth adjustement of unsharp mask around the eyes could have help.
but in definitive a great take.

Sonoma added a critique 11 months ago:

Sweet. Clear and bright, love the angle and the composition. Cool shot!

Mardynn (Martin Tomaszczyk) added a critique 9 months ago:

I love this shot. Lovely colors, I just wish the eye was a little bit more sharp.

Clyde,

Great colors, texture, frame, and light; a winner in my book.

Best,
Jon

cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 1 year ago:

Thank you guys!

To be honest, I'm not sure about the focusing point choice. I have two more versions of this shot, one focusing on the out-most part of the ring, and the second focused on the smaller ring in the back. I was wondering if this version is alright for you, or do you think another one would work better :)

muensterpixel (Heiko Schreckenberg) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think focussing the smaller ring might get a new perspective and make it even more interesting - looking through the first ring getting the second sharp. Are those colours original? For me, it's a bit too red.

cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 1 year ago:

Yes, I did push the colors up a bit :)
Here's a link to the version with the smaller ring in focus, if anyone is bored enough to take a look :)

(I thought it better to post the link than to actually upload a new image)

Wow, to be honest with you I don't really care for the rust topic, but you have done a very beautiful job with it. Kudos to you..

Pradeep (Pradeep P) added a critique 8 months ago:

The only critique in my opinion is there could be a little more negative space. other than that its perfect to the T. Amazing detail and colors.
