This is great, except it's in the wrong category - this is yellow - right? Nice shot - the one in focus orange piece really saves this shot:-)
Best,
Jon

Hey Jon :)
after I uploaded the image I noticed the image was on the borderline between orange and yellow, but since Antonio had already left a comment I didn't bother moving it again.
Personally (and based on the histogram) I think it belongs more in the orange camp. But I agree that it's debatable.
I actually had a photo in this set where I put a single lemon in between the oranges which made it a bit clearer as to what was what, but I preferred to upload this shot instead.
Still, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Thanks for commenting!

I've one question for you Thomas, what did you do with all these orange after the shot ?
crahan (Thomas Bouve) said 9 months ago:
Well, Joke likes freshly squeezed orange juice. So now and then we slice quite a lot of oranges. In this case I decided to cut them all first, take some photos and squeeze them afterwards :)

Nice shot. I assumed they were lemons at first glance.
I would have like just a touch more DOF to give a critical sharpness to the subject, but it's just a small quibble.
Also, there are some distracting patterns at the top of the picture. This may be a characteristic of the lens you used. You may want to consider adding a little bit of blur in post production to the 2nd row of unfocused oranges and beyond. Just a little goes a long way and make sure the transition is very soft.

@grahambo: thanks for the great tip. That would help this image a lot, thank you!

Really great image. Would have been better to my eyes with a tad more depth of field but still a good effort. Nice one.

Nice and juicy shot:-)) I only would like to see some more DOF, there are too many unsharp, but I like the idea !

VERY GOOD USE OF DOF AND I LIKE THE COLORS!
