I actually said "Wow" out loud when I saw this. Incredible framing, color, focus...I love this shot.

Very, very cool. Absolutely gorgeous composition.

I really enjoy this photo. I think the idea is brilliant, but I think it could be improved in several ways.
1. Make sure to put Big Ben more in focus.
2. Perhaps try it with the window frame being darker, maybe even completely black.
3. Not sure if you could arrange this without actually moving further away from the window frame, but it would look better if the window frame is in focus as well. Try a higher F-number.

I love the curves and reflections. I also appreciate the large variety of tones you keeped in this B&W pic. It evocates "harmony" to me. Really beautiful !

Thanks Martine ;) I really appreciate it.

Great eye ! I love both reflection on the ceiling and on the windows. Good scale of grey. Wonderful photo.

A beautiful view, but the B&W processing seems a bit "grey" to me. Perhaps you should have added more contrast ?
cheguillaume (Pierre-Yves cheguillaume) said 2 years ago:
Martine,
Effectivement un peu trop grise, mais le reflet exact de Paris hier ;)
Merci

Very nice image. I love the fact that you didn't do the PS thing with the moon you see so often where it's made artificially big in frame. Congrats on the feature!!

I really do love this image. Most of the time I prefear old architecture, but when it is about shooting bridges, the moderns do better. Great idea to post this in black/white, gives me more chances, to focus on those great lines. I see this image as one of my favorites.

Lovely exposure. I love the light in the tunnel. I think perhaps a square crop off the top to get rid of some of the black area would help this.
paulflury (elp) added a critique 2 years ago:
You know I like this pic. I wouldn't crop the top it would it ruin the ratio's, he needs to be a small shuffling figure.
UnieX (Carlos Crooks) added a critique 2 years ago:
I to like this photo, but I agree with elp when suggesting to crop the top of it. It will add more focus to your subject. Nice job though! =)
Venus (Venus Nakahara) added a critique 2 years ago:
Beautiful. I love the contrast, it really pulls you into the scene. I like it as is, uncropped.
manolomartin (manolo martin) added a critique 2 years ago:
Beautiful photo. Perhaps too centered the main subject, but nice anyway.

It's quite difficult for me to read your picture because there is nothing to catch eyes.
There is also for me a lack of contrast.
And last critiq (sorry :-p). I'm not sure sepia tones were a great idea, didn't you had a little blue sky behind this big clouds? I would have like too see a big contrast beetween big white clouds and some piece of blus sky (but perhaps it wasn't possible)
But at the begining these clouds were nices ;)
riesenriel (rer) added a critique 2 years ago:
With more contrast it will be a good dramatic sky I think, but a nice composition.
cheguillaume (Pierre-Yves cheguillaume) added a critique 2 years ago:
I agree with Riesenriel maybe by improving the contrast it will be better because it's a nice photo
nrcowlishaw (Nathan Cowlishaw) added a critique 2 years ago:
I strongly disagree with schupin. I've looked at the photographic work of many well known photographers in galleries and museums where images like this are displayed on a regular basis, and I think this image works well without the additional contrast. The obvious Subject matter for me are the clouds! Sepia works well in the image. My only drawback is the near black landscape below, but this is a picture of clouds. I am a cloud person. It is a nice image.
Lindy (Lindy G) said 2 years ago:
thank you nrcowlishaw... I have had alot of compliments on this shot on my blog.. thanks for the contsructive critism too ..appreciated..:)

Unique formation. I see a face with a mast in there, myself. Was this shot from a plane window by any chance?
cheguillaume (Pierre-Yves cheguillaume) said 2 years ago:
Thanks Leigh-Anne. It was shot from the ground, you can see on the bottom right the roof of a house ;)
Perfect for me. I don't know where you were to shoot Big Ben...Nice
