Your treatment creates a very surreal feeling. The foreground seems to almost be in another spatial realm altogether. I like this a lot!!

Only possible suggestion would be just a tad more contrast overall??

overall I really like it. The horizon is a little too close to the middle of the image.

Also, the clouds don't seem to be the subject. The isolation of the foreground draws me eye. Nice capture.

Where is this? It looks indeed very surreal, and I'm wondering if this is heavy post-processing (there seems to be trees in the foreground, but it's hard to tell at this resolution). If so, mind sharing what you used?

The clouds and the sky part looks really great, and their shape and details contrast very nicely with the washed out look of the hill. Great shot.

nattfodd: actually there is very little PP involved here. It is shot with infrared filter, hence the surreal light and after I swapped channels in PS and added some contrast :)

I think this works especially well, it has the power to really capture and engage the viewers eyes, and quite an interesting angle and perspective also. Overall I don't really see anything that I would especially change, it just does it for me I suppose!

A little less foreground land and more sky maybe? but otherwise the height of the clouds and mountains are very well executed.

Yeah, thirding the idea of tilting up to get less foreground in the shot.

Also, n'thing the raves. This really is a beaut of a shot! Do tell - where is it? Western US?
