Thank you guys!
To be honest, I'm not sure about the focusing point choice. I have two more versions of this shot, one focusing on the out-most part of the ring, and the second focused on the smaller ring in the back. I was wondering if this version is alright for you, or do you think another one would work better :)
muensterpixel (Heiko Schreckenberg) added a critique 1 year ago:
I think focussing the smaller ring might get a new perspective and make it even more interesting - looking through the first ring getting the second sharp. Are those colours original? For me, it's a bit too red.
cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 1 year ago:
Yes, I did push the colors up a bit :)
Here's a link to the version with the smaller ring in focus, if anyone is bored enough to take a look :)

(I thought it better to post the link than to actually upload a new image)

Wow, to be honest with you I don't really care for the rust topic, but you have done a very beautiful job with it. Kudos to you..

The only critique in my opinion is there could be a little more negative space. other than that its perfect to the T. Amazing detail and colors.

cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 11 months ago:

Looks like I'm the first one to disagree with the need of cropping. In my point of view it's a well balanced picture and the pavement in front gives it certain depth. If there was more space above her there would be too many distracting detail and the main message of the picture would get lost.
willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:
I guess I'm in the don't crop camp too. The pavement does imply depth and gives the feel that I am there.
The woman's face is may not be sharp. But sharpness can be over rated. Capturing her expression gives this photo much more meaning than waiting for AF or manual focusing. Spontaneous photography does not have to be technically perfect to be good. This is better thab good.
jaapv added a critique 1 year ago:
I would not crop either, but I think colour adds nothing. I is crying out for B&W, and some grain.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:
I love this image, but agree that it is not quite sharp enough, especially in the area of her face (it looks to me that the camera focused on the bike and left her slightly out of focus). I'd keep the crop as is - even though often times the crop goes in the direction of her line of sight. Here, though, with the short crop on top there is a sense of tension or interest because we can't see what is holding her gaze. Well done. I should be so lucky to find a subject like this and do half as well with her.

It`s loking very dramatically. The people are looking like aliens. It`s a scene like from a science fiction film. I like it ! Where is the location ?
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 year ago:
WOW, where is this, it is great!! Nice job in a difficult lighting situation.
cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 1 year ago:
Thank you!
The rock is Preikestolen, in Norway, near Stavanger (also known as The Pulpit Rock). Those people are staying at 603m above the waters of Lysefjord (the rock goes another 400m under the sea). We were unlucky to have poor weather that day, but in good conditions, you get some spectacular views over the fjord.
Still... even with the fog, rain and strong wind we got up there, it's been a wonderful trip :)

I like the composition of this. I think I would like it even more cropped like a panoramic with just a little less sky, and also a little brighter.
I'm very interested by the building on the left, but it seems as if it's leaning right a little.
This looks like a nice place to be!
cezarl (Cezar Litu) said 1 year ago:
Thank you!
The place is in Norway, at Avaldsnes. The building on the left is the oldest church in the country... a little bit further from it, across a lake, they have rebuilt a viking village (based on archeologic findings), which is now inhabited by volunteers that live in the same way the vikings did.
To be honest, I'd live there too if I could. The quietness, the beauty of the lands... wow!

Very interesting photo. So many different thoughts are going through my mind on each ones situation. Very well captured.
willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:
If this is not cropped, then it's perfect. You can't be too close. If it is cropped, I like the composition very much.
The young man's back is a bit blow-out (which may be your creative intent?) to me. I wish there was more shadow detail in his legs.
dreamer247 (Ben Godkin) added a critique 1 year ago:
The lighting in this shot is great . It adds a lot of texture. I think the tones are dead on.
lightholder (Kimberly Lightholder) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with dreamer, the constrast is gorgeous. And I don't mind the cropping, I wouldn't have noticed his leg... :)
Come back to us... more photos please! How are you?

Hello to all of you and thank you for all them comments.. I appreciate this a loooot..
Now it's time for me to comment on your comments ;)
First of all, the picture isn't cropped.. I don't agree on the fact to take a few steps back because my main subject is the man who's sleeping, so that meens he can't be to close..
About the contrast, it's meant that way, I wanted it to be so dramatic.. cause I think the seen is pretty dramatic..
I took this picture in Barcelona when we where waiting for the bus.. the scene striked me, the guy was just sleeping there and the sun gave this beautiful paterns on the bench and especially on the guys back..
I think he is homeless or something, or drunk, don't know, but we saw a lot of guys just sleeping on the streets of Barcelona, during daytime and night..
What's funny or weird is that all them people are touching there face with there hands.. like they want to cover something..
What I don't like in this pic are the man's legs behind the guy with his baseball had on..

What a beautiful view! Like from Michael O'Toole picture... I would crop it a liitle bit at the bottom just to hide these 2 black things in the middle and at the right corner
cezarl (Cezar Litu) added a critique 1 year ago:
Did you PP something on the big boat in the background? Maybe it's just me, but looks somewhat unnatural (the masts, at least that's what I think they're called in English).
dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:
I like the photo just as is. I think if you crop it takes away from the simple little extras. Like the small little blue boat on the bottom left, which I like.
klear said 1 year ago:
It's completely untouched - the massive boat looked somewhat unnatural in person too, I agree.
Michael (Michael Bakker) added a critique 1 year ago:
nice photograph! only point of critics is there more then one subjects.. and thats distracting i think.
Gorgeous. Your eye is so good. The shadows are dark, but actually like it that way. Its a piece of art, therefore subject to high contrast as part of the photographer's vision. I probably would have done the same... but I apparently am a big sucker for blown detail. :)
I'm brilliant btw. How are you? Incidentally, I think you should post this.
Love love love your style.
