Lovely use of color. It also brings back memories of childhood fun.

Great palette. By which I mean; colours, naturally...

It reminds me of being little! I love it!

Great movement in the photo! I really like the colors!

mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice motion blur.
Great shot with wonderful details for long exposure.

leaves added a critique 1 year ago:

this looks great and i love the movement/colors but it makes me uneasy :/

creative666 (Craig Wilson) added a critique 1 year ago:

Love the blur, doesnt seem to be your normal motion blur if that makes sense!

narnold (Noah Arnold) added a critique 8 months ago:

wow...all those colors are crazy! Very cool picture!

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is very nice panning work. For this theme, I think it would have been okay to let the bus show some movement, as well. Those crisp blues and reds would look nice as streaks across the frame.

rblue85 (Tiffany) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great panning! I love taking these kind of pictures. They take work to get it just right and you did a awesome job with this one.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice colors. I'd seen the bus left to right (unstead right to left) (except in England, sorry !)
Maybe in "stop the motion"

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really nice photo. The blur in the back is just enough. But it isn't distracting at all from the bus. I really like it!!!

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 9 months ago:

Very well done! Great capture and very well seen.

Best,
Jon

Great balance with the saturation.

I took this photograph in New York City.

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very interesting photo. I like the angle on it, and the b/w.

forgingahead (Bob Foss) added a critique 1 year ago:

My issue with this shot is that I am unable to orient myself and figure out what I am looking at. I realize they are light bulbs but I don't find enough context to figure out where they are or how it works as an architectural detail.

oz_sprog (Will Williams) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree with all points above but one I might add is, it'd be nice to see a very subtle gradient in the sky to a tiny bit of depth, just a thought :)

luan (Luan Huynh) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree with oz_sprog that you should try to create a sense of depth in this image, which may add more interest and retain the viewer's eye a bit longer. Otherwise it is excellent.

jaapv added a critique 1 year ago:

I must be the dissenting voice. I would have wanted more contrast with a darker sky - and maybe a star in the lower left strong point?
But still, I like it as it is....

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice, though I must agree that I wonder how it would look with a bit of a darker sky. But still very nice.

Thanks for your comment! I was actually shooting lights on the freeway. I moved the camera in a pattern (sort of like a figure eight) as we drove. I was trying it out for fun, and ended up liking the result.

gregcsmith (Greg Smith) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love it. The only disappointment is the small bit of green flare in the bottom left. Great Shot!!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

I've been trying out your technique for the past week Ashley - how long was your exposure time? I love the vivid colors!

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) said 1 year ago:

Sher, I am glad you are trying it out. I hope you get the result you are looking for! My exposure time was 30 seconds. I just kept moving the camera the whole time while my husband drove. That is all there is to it!

leaves added a critique 1 year ago:

wow this is amazing! its not too cluttered or repetitive either.. i like it a lot good job!

I love teh added detail of the drops of water. Great capture!

Rainybeet (John Bonner) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the color and detail in his legs and head, I just wish that the black foreground object had not been in the way. I also like how the body is dropped into shadow, adding mystery to the whole thing.

Topher (Christopher Mueller) said 1 year ago:

I wish that too John. If I had another minute with this guy, I'd have composed it without that stem back there. Oh well; there's more critters out there to shoot!

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

The detail is amazing!

mysight (Carl H. Sr.) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think you did pretty well,Christopher.
Considering those critters aren't exactly cooperative.
My little camera is auto-focus only.Really frustrating when trying to capture something so small.

I like the photo, though I also wish the flower weren't artificial. But the photo itself is really nice. The pink stands out nicely.

very nice capture-i actually like the fact that it is not a real one-it gives it a nice texture!
