A nice image, but I agree with the comment that noted a shallower depth of field, to isolate the bottles in the frame, could be a nice effect; also, did you try different lighting (such as from below; maybe that would be too much like a bar...)

Great image and colors. I do agree with the comments of more of DOF and try different lighting, but this is very nice and eye catching. I really like the textures of the wall and also in the reflection in the bottles.

It looks very good in the thumbnail, but I don't like the background. The composition and perspective are both well-chosen.

very interesting perspective,a tighter crop would make it better I think.

I can't believe I've never seen this before. What a great idea, and a beautiful photograph!

Very cool idea, I love to take photos framed by something else and this is something I never would have thought of.

Wow, this is a really nice picture. The colours are warm and the extreme out-of-focus part of the image sets a nice frame for the in-focus part. I've seen pictures like this with pairs of glasses, but not with lenses before.

Wow! Great find. Can you walk around this place? It looks beautiful from up above.
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
I believe there is a way to get down into the place but it doesn't look used very much. This structure is basically down in a sheer drop shole in the center of a city. It's wild. I'd love to walk around down there (with camera in hand), that's for sure.

Kim, you have seen the most amazing things.
You are always surprising me with new subjects.
This one really illustrates how nature
reclaims its' space eventually and inevitably.

I'd love to walk around there, too. WOW.

First I thought it was a picture, then I thought it was a window, then I thought it was a picture..... You get the idea. Nice image. Great highlights, midtones, and shadows.
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 11 months ago:
Thanks Tom, It is a window. I've not been too active on Vazaar as of late and am sorry for the late response. This is Venice, the most beautiful city in the world in my opinion. My husband and I were there for our 20th anniversary and he's the one that mentioned that looking out of the window seemed as if we were looking at a picture. So, of course, I had to try to capture that feeling.

The real thing!
They look so old.
I would sure like to see the inside of one.

What's with you and windmills??? ;-) Very nice.
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
:o) I was wondering if anyone would notice. I'm going to have to frame these and the West Texas Windmills up somehow. What a contrast.
Thanks y'all.
Eye_See said 1 year ago:
Excellent composition. Seeing this photo side by side with your earlier windmill picture was interesting. They were very similar in composition yet very different.
The two pictures could make a good diptych.

This is fabulous! Where was it taken?
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
Thanks c-steps. This was taken in my hometown of Midland Texas. I had been on a trip back to see family and told them I wanted a sunset picture with a windmill in it. To my delight I was in the perfect spot at the perfect time and got two windmills. Double the excitement.

Bathed in delicious warm colours, the play on shapes is enhanced by the sense of depth created by the shallow DoF.

Perfectly framed.
Fingers crossed for a feature with this one, it deserves to be.

Usually, flowers are not one of my favorite subjects, but I was really impressed by your pic. Excellent framing ! In addition, what a wonderful DOF, and this kind of transparency of light in the flowers is gorgeous.
I do agree with Kevin, this one really deserves being featured.

It is ideal, isn't it?
