As people requested - the image in colour. I like it in BW much better, but I think its a good image in color too. I shot this on Bronica - and it reminds me why I love medium format for things that don't move.
So take a look at the BW and tell me which you think is better - and more importantly, why it one is better.

Definately the color! All I can say is Wow!!
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 1 year ago:
This IS lovely. I think I do prefer the color version better.
BUT, I am curious why the colors are so different in the refection that in the real object. Especially noticeable in the mountain on the right of frame, reflection is quite a bit greener that the real mountain. The mountain on the left is the opposite, the real mountain has a lot of color but the reflected mountain seems desaturated???

Love it! (As the owner of a pug I heartily endorse all smooshed-face doggie shots.)

Thanks for the positive comments. It is Peyto Lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. Its a wonderful place to visit.
Roberta - you're the first person to ever want to know about me. You made me smile. I will have to put a bio up.
Enjoy.

What a beautiful scene. Bet this would also make a stunning black and white.

I thought that was the Bow valley, but the minute I make a definitive statement I'm wrong! ;-)
I have a thing about knowing more about photobloggers, especially where they are from. Happy to make you smile.

I love the colors in this. The panorama gives a feeling of grandeur; and when combined with the colors puts a person in awe of the entire view. Well done!

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with the others - I do find it just a bit too dark - but the concept is great - the detail is great. Good work!
delphE (delphinE Le Berre) added a critique 1 year ago:
the idea is good, but I don't like the light and the grain.
chromaticmelody (Dhiren Bhatia) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great idea of little flower hatching, I dig the grain, but a little more lighthing work on the little flower would be ideal, from behind to show the opactiy of the little petals.

Yeah! Wow! Sorry I cant be as creative with a critique as you are with the concept. Love it! Just well done! Show us more of this imaginative camera work.
A great pet portrait.Great composition, and the lighting is well done
