I have looked at this for quite a while, I think overall the tone of the river is too similar to the sky. Overall it is just kinda flat. I think the shot would be more interesting if the photographer was the focus.

une image très plate à laquelle le photographe au 1er plan aurait pu donner du relief s'il avait été net

Good composition. Strange colours, why not in B/W?. The focus, may be difficult decision. I think with this focus you need more contrast in back, between sea, sky, trees and ship. I think you can prove and may be get like now if you don´t like new changes. Now looks strangely old. In the other side it looks different and, is this bad? I don´t think so. Good work!!

I like it - could use a little punch to be sure - but nice capture.
Best,
Jon

Yes, well done, this time it fits the topic ;-)
The panoramic size is a very good idea, which enhances this low sky. Good work, Karin !

I like the backlight and how you have blocked the sun.

content de te retrouver par ici. La photo me semble un peu fouillis et si je vois ce qui a pu te plaire dans la lumière , je trouve que la photo n'arrive pas vraiment à transmettre cette émotion.

I agree with jvgphoto.... I can tell it was an amazing site, but shooting into the sun will totally rob you of your vision, unfortunately. It may help to do some darkening with the levels slider on the bottom half of this photo.

Thank you all for your input!
Especially thanks to jvgphoto, the sentence "The camera doesn't see as you see" is remarkable :-)

the place is nice but it seems like there is too much things in the shot and so it's difficult to concentrate on it

Karin,
Wonderful shot! Super colors and strong composition. Love how road leads us up and into the photo. How much ps work (if any)was necessary for the sky? Just curious. By the way, thanks for your comment on the man sandwiched between two cars - I removed it from Street at your suggestion. I may work on it a bit more.
Best,
Jon

Thank you Jon!
Really a lot working on that sky, I admit, but mostly in Raw processing to avoid overblown white in the clouds. To see the final photoshopping you can view the image before/after in my blog: blog.uhlig.at/index.php?showimage=753 (just move the mouse over the little mouth beneath the image)
Great detail and color. DoF is good too.
