Did this moth land on your jeans by chance?
Good thing you had your camera handy.
Cool antennae!

i think the shot lacks contrast and the texture (the sand, rocks, the water)..i guess this should be the fault of light, it must be a mid day...also some clouds on the sky would help..composition is not ok too, maybe the change of angle might help

I find this very boring sorry. Looks like a generic holiday snap. I'm sure you have good memories associated with it and that is waht matters :)
forgingahead (Bob Foss) added a critique 1 year ago:
Oooh, Dale's "critique" fails the "be polite test" I think. I do agree with chaba though about the contrast and composition. I find that playing with Levels in post processing can really help overcome that flatness. The foreground does not seem to add much to this shot so I would probably crop it a bit. As for relevance to this topic, I don't quite feel the connection to "Big City." But then the topic description was pretty vague, so I have rated pretty leniently on that aspect.
I see you have only been a member for a couple of days. Welcome...and keep the pictures coming!

The colors and contrast are a bit on the dull side, and I agree with cropping out of the foreground a bit, it doesn't add much to the picture. Also maybe playing with some levels might bring this a bit more life

i also think this photo could be adjusted to take out the flatness-perhaps more people on the beach would have worked better

Nice shot. I would prefer to have a crisp focus on the nail and outline the rust.
