Now your cooking!!

Pradeep (Pradeep P) said 9 months ago:

this one is good...how long was the exposure? i guess if you had framed it with a little space on the top instead of the bottom it would have looked better.

antonio (antonio) said 9 months ago:

thank you pradeep!, it was 4 seconds long and I do agree that some space on the top of the picture may be missing, thank you again!

Enhorabuena. Saludos.

Straight from the cam? Amazing capture - well done!

Best,
Jon

antonio (antonio) said 9 months ago:

thanks Jon!, and yes it is straight from the camera as you know I don't do post processing to my pictures that's why all the pictures you see from me is just that, me playing with the camera! and personally I really enjoy it more than setting in front of a computer or a dark room. thank you again for your comments!

THE BOTTOM OF THE PHOTO APPEARS INCOMPLETE BECOUSE I HAD TO RESIZE THE IMAGE TO UPLOAD IT TO THE WEBSITE. BUT IN THE REAL SIZE OF THE PICTURE THE BOTTLE APPEARS COMPLETE.

photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 9 months ago:

i like the way you shot that, like the fire

AnaGaztelu (Ana Gaztelu) added a critique 9 months ago:

Curioso contraste entre las dos partes integrantes de la fotografía.
Saludos

boyd added a critique 9 months ago:

This is a really dynamic shot with the flame trailing off the frame. It is a pity that the bottom is cut off, I am presuming that resizing wouldn't work and you had to crop the original image instead.

thanks for your comments guys!, i just have to add that yes, the photo tilts a bit to the right, but since this is a selfportrait it takes a bit of time to get all the aspects of the picture right! but somethimes as in these case the outcome is not 100% perfect.

CouCou33 (Ingrid) added a critique 10 months ago:

well... the vertical lines are a tad tilting to the right, but the horizontal ones seams perfectly straight to me... so it doesn't bother me :-)
I really like the idea and the concept.
lighting is very nice.
but next time, try to hide the electrical cords that are on the left of the panel ;-)

taikrixel (thomas mueller) added a critique 10 months ago:

it's a little bit to yellow for me but i like the idea and the composition with the lines.

RachelValley (Rachel Valley) added a critique 10 months ago:

This is almost "noir" for me...like I am going to see the freaky man in the hat for some information....

photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 10 months ago:

i like this shot, just one detail that disturbs me is the electrical lines in the background

Very powerful image - well done! Best, Jon

crahan (Thomas Bouve) added a critique 10 months ago:

Awesome contrast and selective highlights. If I can give a small remark: I would have loved to see the thumb completely on the image (although it might have been your intention). Other than that minor nitpick I think you nailed it.

Love the texture in the hand by the way.

wonderful play with light and shadow! great one!

ple (ferry kana) added a critique 10 months ago:

it is deed powerful image, but why you cut the finger in the right side ?

Ludimaginary (Richard Vantielcke) added a critique 10 months ago:

Nice capture even if it's strange that the hand is cut in the right side.
Maybe better with less blur on the background.

"Atmosfera (ambiente)" interesante.

TooMagic added a critique 10 months ago:

I like the colors but think the photo would be more interesting if cropped with just the right figure and the trees on the right or the left figure with the poles. Three figures might be too much for the solitude of the color contrasts.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:

I like the colors and mood of the photo, but the composition is somewhat skewed in my opinion. I know you don't like to crop or post-process, but this one could be helped greatly by some straightening and cropping. Ciao - jon

nattfodd (Alexandre Buisse) added a critique 10 months ago:

Nice atmosphere and good light, but the silhouettes could be more expressive. What really bothers me, though, is the block (?) on the lower right corner.

lasiate added a critique 10 months ago:

belle ambiance mais les silhouettes sont trop massives et on ne comprend pas leur activité

This is very nice - nice feeling of quiet motion. I like the colors and the comp. is strong - maybe a little bit on the static side. I would liked to have seen a little more light in the foreground.

TammyLynn (Tammy) added a critique 10 months ago:

The sun is a bit bright and takes away from the over all image, but I really really like this. Beautiful shot. I like the composition and the figure in the distance makes this shot. :-)

RachelValley (Rachel Valley) added a critique 10 months ago:

I am with Tammy...the person in the shot gives great perspective..love the undulations!

Enhorabuena. Saludos

antonio (antonio) said 10 months ago:

Muchas gracias Juanantonio por el comentario y para responderle a su pregunta, si. el fondo es la una pared de mi apartamento y las fotos en el fondo ,son fotos mias que he pegado alli. espero que le haya atinado a la pregunta y se la haya contestado correctamente.. Gracias de nuevo!!

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:

This is very unusual, but effective. The shadows really make this one come alive. Nice work!

This is a good shot except for the wrinkles on the background. I'd rather to see pure background. Once I was working about a concept like this, and I have decided to apply some Photoshop tricks which I thought it might be helpful to you. If you want to try this, I strongly reccomend you to use tripod or something to put your camera on it. Well then, I had 2 shots. First one is just for the background, the second is for the frame and items or whatever in it. I have imported both shots into the same file in Photoshop as 2 Layers. The lowest layer contains the background shot, the upper layer contains the layer with the frame. While the upper layer is selected, delete outer spaces of the frame. If your background was not wrinkled, you'll get a good result. You can use this thing for some creative shots :) I wish this will help you...
Good luck!

antonio (antonio) said 10 months ago:

Thank you all for your seggestions i really aprecciate them, but unfortunate i don't do photoshop, cropping, adjustment of light on the computer, or any post processing i compose and make all my pictures with my camera not with the computer. hopefully im gonna keep doing this until my photos look as good or better than when using a computer to manipulate them. but i do respect all people who does all these stuff with photoshop. but does not my style. Thank you again!!

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:

Antonio,

Nice effort, but lacks punch and would really benefit from some post-processing.

Best,
Jon

antonio (antonio) said 10 months ago:

thanks jon, but this is the way i see photography needs to be done using the camera, not the computer or your camera menu. but thanks!!. ill keep trying!!

RachelValley (Rachel Valley) added a critique 10 months ago:

I like this concept....I like the way the shoes on the left are illuminated...if the rest where as detailed it would be better for me. I see what the others are saying about the wrinkles in the backdrop...but nothing a good hot iron wouldn't fix...;)
