love the vivid blue and the innocence of childhood this portrays!

Based on all accepted academic and commerical definitions of minimalism, there is nothing minimalistic about this photo. However is is a simple image and the simple composition focuses our attention on the child at play. This is a great example of "less is more". The beautiful color (very well exposed) and the intensity of the child at play make this an interesting photo.
I think it would really benefit from an 8 X 10 crop as this would place more emphasis on the child. However, maybe the child is not the main subject you had in mind.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful critique, Willie. I would be very interested in the definitions of minimalism that you mention - I hadn't really thought about it, I am ashamed to say!

The colors are quite glorious. This seems familiar. The setting of some duos perhaps? Or just a similar setting...
annabc (Anna Cameron) said 1 year ago:
Thanks, Leigh-Anne. I haven't posted anything else on this site, although there are images with a similar setting on another site.

It's breathtaking the whole image but what I love most is this balcony in foreground because it gives even more perspective to the skyscape.

Thank you, Fabrizio - it is nice to be appreciated!

Nice composition. The big boat looks like it is really interesting and old.
annabc (Anna Cameron) said 1 year ago:
I'm not sure what the black boat actually was, but it was a modern reconstruction of a famous old one - maybe it was something to do with Christopher Columbus, or the subsequent Spanish treasure ships that sailed the Atlantic during the colonisation of South America.
Thank you for your comment - it is so nice to get a response to an image.

at first glance this looks like the shot was taken on film and then painted red-there is so much to see and great movement-well done on this shot!

I'm really sorry I missed it. It's wonderful and it reminds me to a Toulouse Lautrec painting.
annabc (Anna Cameron) said 1 year ago:
Thank you, ikol22 - it is the first time any of my work has ever been compared with Toulouse Lautrec! I am glad you like it.

Bonita foto, Anna. ¿Está hecha en las fiestas de "moros y cristianos" de Alicante?. Felicidades por la imagen.
annabc (Anna Cameron) said 1 year ago:
Hecha en las fiestas de 'moros y cristianos', si, pero en Denia! Gracias...
Thank you, Fabrizio - I appreciate your comment.
