Thanks! Appreciate your help guys. Take care. =)

Ramon (Alex Ramon) added a critique 1 year ago:

Great shot! I love the clarity in the sunglasses. It might have a bit more impact if the earpiece wasn't cutting across the bottom of the lens, but that is just a nit-picky detail. Well done!!

aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the clouds above the rim of the glasses even more than those emphasized by the lenses. As for the house, I experimented with rolling my screen down to block it out altogether (simulating a crop just below the glasses) and I think the photo becomes even better. Just as it is, though, it's a fine image with good clarity and fantastic clouds.

Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love this shot ..it is cleverly done.. love the light and the contrast .. beautiful!!!

lolly (lolly smits) added a critique 9 months ago:

The only 'critique' I have is to say...very clever! Congrats on the feature.

Cain and Abel

Greed, selfishness, haves and have-nots; these being the downfalls of human kind.. Is their a possibility that we will ever come together? Or will we continue to bear witness to the cries from our brothers and sister's blood...

lightholder (Kimberly Lightholder) added a critique 1 year ago:

An excellent interpretation of the theme, straight out of a horror movie, so fantastic job on going through the effort of setting up this shot to facilitate an idea.

If i were to suggest anything, I'd say that perhaps the impact of the photo could be strengthened by increasing the contrast of the image.

The highlights already appear to be close to white, but maybe pushing more of the shadows towards black to bring out the terror in the subjects eyes. And I agree that the impact might benefit from rotating the positioning a little counter-clockwise, placing the subject more towards the (implied) submissive lying down position.

UnieX (Carlos Crooks) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very interesting image. I really like this b&w. Good composition, a well thought out subject, and a great expression of distress.
Nice.

diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:

OK that is really just creepy!!!

riesenriel (riesenriel) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is soooo scary, with another angle it's much more creepy I think.

Sonoma added a critique 11 months ago:

Frightening. this is weird stuff. I hope this subject is alive to see the shot. Wow, what can you say?

The light is coming from right. How about light fully falling on the face by changing the direction of the shot

mosesport (Moses) added a critique 1 year ago:

Gives me a sense of freedom. I agree with the straight on lighting. This is a very nicely composed shot. Great emotion!

Vernon,
Beautiful! Just beautiful.

(What is an overlay blend and a high pass filter??)

VernonTrent (Vernon Trent) said 1 year ago:

@martin

in photoshop you duplicate the image layer
then set blend mode to overlay
and apply the high pass filter :-)
it increases/sharpens small & fine details :-)

DaveMac (Dave MacIntyre) said 1 year ago:

This is really splendid Vernon!!!

I like this. I like your processing. I would like to see his eyes stand out more. It would flow better with the rest of the image. I'm not so much on having any of it toned down. It's very well done.

ztolemy added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this. Its more along the lines of how I prefer a portrait photo to be processed, but that may just be personal preference. Good photo!

vanessapr (Vanessa Pike-Russell) added a critique 1 year ago:

Lovely warmth and tone to this. The texture alludes to a high pass filter? Great work and I would love to see it printed. Well done!

marcouet52 (Mario Arcouette) added a critique 1 year ago:

Excellent composition good focus on eyes, detail
are remarkable, keep on.
Thank.

photofixation added a critique 1 year ago:

nicely done. It feels little over sharpened or may be I personally feel bit softer tones..

chaba (David Chabashvili) added a critique 1 year ago:

Have to agree on the balance and highlights. Also the ground too dark. Maybe a little bit different angle and place would help this shot. Good luck.

UnieX (Carlos Crooks) added a critique 1 year ago:

Beautiful sky, although I also wish the highlights weren't so blown out.

edge (Ed) said 1 year ago:

The sky was quite hazy at this time so I boosted the contrast a bit, but looks like that may have blown out the highlight. I'll definitely think about that and the composition in future shots...

Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the contrast here .. this has potential .. very beautiful sky ..

This is a shot of a window on the other side of a room taken through a window.

mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very interesting shot.
Did you use a polarizer to reduce the original reflection from the first window?
Great shot with almost a self portrait in the window!

Laurie (Laurie) said 1 year ago:

Thanks. I did have a polarizer on the lens. The building, trees, and bridge you can see was behind me.

UnieX (Carlos Crooks) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very cool, what an awesome effect. Great job!

dcannaday added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the way this came out.. Great effects in keeping the reflection. Very nice.

Did you go back and shoot this location friday?! :)

dontpanic added a critique 1 year ago:

i love the perspective that you've got on this one. just find the structure outside a bit busy for the rest of the frame...it's a nice contrast maybe, but for me it detracts from the abstract quality of the stairs and the feet.

coolpixeler (Michel Maquet) added a critique 1 year ago:

Stunning composition. Very nice and smooth b&w.
