Nice catch.
I'm guessing you used a telephoto lens for this. My only criticism is that the front to back compression seems unnatural.
At the same time, when you're on the street you have to shoot what happens... and I'm glad you did.
TracyMartin (Tracy Martin) said 7 months ago:
Willie, this was shot with a 100mm prime lens, the only one I have that is fast enough to do night street shooting without having to push it. All I did was crop a hair off of the left side. Thanks.
Thanks Ana. :)

Wow ! Great fun for you too, Tracy :)
Excellent, as usual.

Just an additional comment to make this pic coming back on the front page ;-)
I definitely love it, love the light and colors. And moreover Tracy, I appreciate so much your sensitiveness, and the particular way you make every kind of people beautiful.
TracyMartin (Tracy Martin) said 4 months ago:
Martine, that is such a nice comment. The interesting thing for me is that I didn't realize that sensitivity until people started pointing it out to me in comments. I continue to try and shoot everything but it is when I go through my images later that I decide what works and what doesn't, so both Mark and I try to make sure that our images show the humanity and the dignity that everyone deserves. It is a big discussion point for us along with so many other things in photography. :-)

:)
ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) said 6 months ago:
Yes I seen most of the series when it was in screening on.....(whispers) "the other site".... but I liked this one the best, the look on their faces is excellent. Brings make memories of dating that special someone.

YES !!
That's excellent, how do you do... ? It seems you are always at the right place, at the right moment.
MMeye said 6 months ago:
lol I just realize that "how do you do" has a different meaning in English than in French.
My question was rather : How do you manage to produce all your street pics ?
By the way, I also hope you are fine, Tracy. :-))
TracyMartin (Tracy Martin) said 6 months ago:
I understood Martine, hailing from Quebec I am used to interpreting people trying to speak English if I couldn't understand what they were saying in French. :)
How do I do it? I have a really good partner and competitor in Mark, if I go out shooting alone I am not nearly as brave as I am when I am with him. And I shoot a lot of frames, too many more often than not. I am fine thank you, it is hard to keep up with all the photoblogs so I don't spend as much time around vazaar as I used to.

This really is fantastic. The lighting is spot on.

Very nice Tracy. I like the lighting on the foreground wood but I find it a bit off on the stairs. But overall it's a very nice image.
calisto said 6 months ago:
like the deep shadows on this. the stairs makes me wonder where it leads to.
