are those stairs? The tilt is getting to me and I can't tell :). With the DOF, I can't really see the water until it gets further out, and even then I'm not seeing a lot. I'm with paddlepunk! What is it? Very unique angle! I like it - I'm just not sure it fits in this topic cause I don't know what it is!

It's a fountain on circular quay in Sydney, Australia. The water spirals down, which explains the "steps" and the "steps" have small ridges on it that make the water move more randomly.
The fountain is quite big and solid, but somehow the spiraling down, combined with the ridges give it a dynamic whole. That is also what I tried to capture here. The solidity of the stone combined with the (forced) flow of the water.

You definately achieved it. I think maybe you could tell more of the forced flow with a little less DOF. You gotta post a full shot of this thing so I can see what your describing! you've peaked my curiousity!!
