This is stunning.

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 5 months ago:

Thank you Ana.

The original image was taken in B/W format and literally straight out of the camera (as they took the cards) won me first place in a portrait competition and a £1700 Olympus E-3 with a 14-54mm 2.8 lens. :-D

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 5 months ago:

This is a black and white??????

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 5 months ago:

The original was shot in black and white, but it was shot on a digital SLR on the mono setting and saved in RAW format...so the colour was recored and I was able to access and use it.

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 5 months ago:

Ah, I see. Thanks for explaining!

Thank you for your comments! I had a print of this made and this lady I know saw it and loved it so much that I gave it to her. I'll have to go have another print made now. :-)

Very stunning, indeed.

It almost looks like x-ray art: www.xray-art.com

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

Thank you sfkp. I took this out in my garden, with the sun shinning through the flower. :-)

Beautiful place. Don't you think that on this image green is not a green ;) it is too yellowish

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

Thank you photoaholic. :-)

misu, this is how the greens looked on this day, rain was in the air, new growth on the trees, afternoon sun coming through the clouds. It was amazing to see in person.

misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 6 months ago:

Tammy, I don't what You take offence on me. May be my monitor isn't properly calibrated. I like this photo, forest, flowers, composition. But I think You are interested in opinion of others! Sorry if I hurt You!

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

misu, I've not taken offense, all I did was explain the colours to you and to anyone else who thought it was too yellow. It's OK if you don't like the colours, or if you don't like the photo even. Everyone has their own opinions and that's OK. If we all thought the same way about things and we all liked the same things, then life would be very boring. And Yes, it is a beautiful place. :-)

Nice photo. The contrast "moving X not moving" gives a great impression... Congratulations.

misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 6 months ago:

I don't like colors of this one but subject, effect are very interesting. Thanks for sharin'!

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

Thank you ljcbraga. :-)

misu, this was taken at night, I've not manipulated the colours, this is how they were with a long exposure.

Beautiful. For background DOF is perfect but pitty that not the whole flower in focus.

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

misu, not a pity at all, just the way I wanted it. :-)

Interesting sky! Some hdr or lucisart going on here?

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

Thank you. I don't know what lucisart is, but this is sorta like HDR only done with one image...so not true HDR.

ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) said 6 months ago:

Well regardless Tammy it came out lovely. Lucisart is a Photoshop plug in that can be used to give very crisp lines if used properly. It's used on a lot of portrait work to enhance things like hands and such but it can be used lightly on landscapes to give them a bit more of a punch. Again lovely image.

TammyLynn (Tammy) said 6 months ago:

Thank you, Lucisart sounds interesting. I'll have to look it up now. :-D
