Nice procesessing, but would love to see or one bottle or a whole bunch of it..
SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) added a critique 1 year ago:
The composition seems a bit weak here. I would suggest maybe focusing on only one bottle or try a less cluttered background. Also, the top of the right bottle is cropped off, I would try to change that if possible.
The tones are just about prefect though.
barcelonaphblog (Carlos Lorenzo) said 1 year ago:
Hi, I have to say that I totally agree with your criticism. I took this one in a hurry. I don't like the cropped top and I should have concentrated on just one bottle. At that moment I was fascinated by the label and green tones but unfortunately I paid no attention to details. Thanks for your help.
Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 22 days ago:
It needs to be straightened and it's too green to me. I'd boost the contrast.

It is ideal, isn't it?
I love all bout this!
Great job.

A nice image, but I agree with the comment that noted a shallower depth of field, to isolate the bottles in the frame, could be a nice effect; also, did you try different lighting (such as from below; maybe that would be too much like a bar...)
jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:
Great image and colors. I do agree with the comments of more of DOF and try different lighting, but this is very nice and eye catching. I really like the textures of the wall and also in the reflection in the bottles.

nice compo

It looks very good in the thumbnail, but I don't like the background. The composition and perspective are both well-chosen.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, I can't tell. It seems the foremost glasses are a bit soft. Maybe from camera shake or a touch too shallow depth of field, I'm not sure.

Personally think this is a pretty cool photo. I think I realy like it.
TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 11 months ago:
I really like this picture. The black and white really works and I really love the white edges of the glasses. The repetition of the glasses with different shapes is nice and the wood through the glass looks great.

Good job!

Oh, and I just saw that black thing on the left side of the photo...just above the glass. Might have cropped that, too.
SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) said 1 year ago:
Ana,
Thanks for the comments.
I do like having the wall in the photo, I think it adds a really imposing foreground and anchors the shot.
I didn't even notice that black spot though. Just a piece of the building sticking up from behind the glass pyramid, but it could definitely be taken out.
kt_still added a critique 1 year ago:
the louvre! I like the wall in the photo as well. Steers it from just being a picture of a glass building.
TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 11 months ago:
I love the reflection of the Louvre in the glass pyramid. The contrast is also very nice. I'm not sure I like the wall, though... Adding the people in the picture makes it more personal and the ripples in the reflection of the people make it clear that that's water.
GarrettHall (Garrett Hall) added a critique 4 months ago:
I like the photo. Maybe try to pull a little more detail from the shadows on the people sitting at the water's edge.

Very nice. It does have a surreal look to it. Only helps to add to the effect!

Especially the motion in the front of the picture is just excellent. The rocks are just crisp and have a really nice colour. Very nice.

Love it! I like the blur and the vivid colors.

This is a beautiful piece of work - very nice comp and nicely seen.
Best,

Great shot, but in the spirit of constructive criticism, I'd try burning the land in the upper right bank to create a bit more drama in the photo. The land feels a bit flat.

Very well composed and with a lot of detail. I like it very much and maybe it is because it is not sharpened to the max :)

I like the atmosphere this has, and the assymetry on right adds to the image

Normally I would think the tone mapping (i presume?) was a bit too much, but with this subject I think it works really well..
Love the view and angle here..
bluesforshoes (Jeremiah Gilbert) added a critique 1 year ago:
Wonderful angle. I agree with Brandon that it might be a little too over-processed, or at least looks like it. Also, it's a bit too much of the same grey for me. That said, it still is a striking photo.

Through its unreality, this shot conveys something of the magic of the game of baseball - very special image!

I love the colors, and the darkness doesn't bother me so much. Though I wish the darkness was broken somehow. As it is, it really slices the composition in two.

Great shot in any case.

Nice image. Great greens. I love the label on the Diable Vert! I would almost prefer an interesting take on this bottle alone.
