A cascade of crystal clear water pouring in front of a cobblestoned background. Comments welcome.

ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) said 6 months ago:

Very nice and works well. Nit picking but I wonder if this would look a bit more balanced if you had shot it straight on vice the small angle that you have?

ApurvaMadia (Apurva Madia) said 6 months ago:

I think it would actually. But then I thought a bit of asymmetry would look fine. Thanks for your crtique Scott!

Water and stones, or a vase filled with potatoes? This one opens my imagination...

Nice catch!

Very cool image. Nicely framed and very crisp focus on the pelican. What a great shot. Excellent work.

Fantastic shot. The bird seems not to fly, but to float in the air. With an amazed crowd in the background, admiring the trick.

Great shot. I like the fading passers-by as much as the double phone boots. Great effect of the partial saturation.

stilfoto (Stefan Nielsen) added a critique 4 months ago:

One of the rare occasions where I like selective saturation - but I think it would have been better if you had pulled back a little on the red. It's a bit too bright red imo. But all in all it's a good picture...

Thank you Huubi and Stefan
/Jan :-)

Bastian (Bastian Löhrer) added a critique 18 days ago:

It's a pity those are being removed.

Neuner added a critique 17 days ago:

I really like the selective saturation. Normally I don't care for it, but it appears more natural in this image. Great exposure.

c'est magnifique et surréaliste. (juste, dommage que le soleil soit si fort, il est cramé). La couleur des bancs du fond est superbe

Amazing view. It seems it was taken in another planet

ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) said 1 month ago:

Thanks David! It was one very cold morning (around -35C) as I recall. Felt like another planet hahaha.

Wow. Spectacular shot, and thanks all for the great tutorial. I have yet to play with HDR, but this prompts me further to go explore it.

ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) said 6 months ago:

Thanks Craig! If you get stuck feel free to e-mail any questions my way. Lots of good links out there on how to do this properly.

dominik (Dominik Fusina) said 6 months ago:

Very pretty but a little too dark for me

HuubL said 5 months ago:

Beautiful seascape/sunset shot. HDR seems very popular lately and therefore, for me it quickly looses its appeal. However, landscapes like this really gain from a modest use of the technique.
