Yes, I also feel, that this fits perfect to the theme. I also feel, while looking at this photo, that this guy has more shadow in his life than light. I hope thats only the mood of the image. Very nicely done.
Schmidi (Zoltán Schmidt) added a critique 11 months ago:
Perfect position of the man, it seems as he wants to walk throught the water on the shadow of the bridge.

I like it as it is. I think the impression would be different with more saturation.
willie_901 (william) added a critique 4 months ago:
The color looks realistic to me. I wouldn't change it.
I like the composition. I also appreciate how crisp the photo looks too.

Thomas and william,
Thanks for the comments.
This is one of my favorite out of the series!
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 3 months ago:
The posted like is better, the composition feels a little "cramped". Did you shoot more context?
mikeock (Mike Adams) said 3 months ago:
Clyde,
Currently I do not have shot w\ more context.
The problem was that there was distracting elements and this was the best composition with the least distractions!
I am planning on re shooting w\ my d40 once my car is working .

Point taken. Anyone have suggestions on composition to make this stronger?
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 4 months ago:
Tough to kill a tree, and IMO, you really shouldn't try, except in severe situations. You might have tried a lower camera angle, might give a stronger emphasis that the new growth is coming out of the old tree roots.
hampshire added a critique 4 months ago:
I agree with Beamer. Laying down in the grass would show the regrowth.

Clyde and hampshire,
I will re shoot this in the next few days.
Found this at work and will have to wander back over to it. Great idea on the angle.
Ana,
thanks for the comment!

Yes, it is May already :)))) Great shot for me and this romantic vibe..... I am going for a walk with my hubby;)

jvg: You're right with the little bush, I realized it too late, only when I saw it on the computer. But as I remember I wouldn't have any other place to stand, so I couldn't compose it some other way.
Ana (Ana Cortez) added a critique 5 months ago:
That bush can be pretty easily cloned out, I believe.

I agree with everyone else, it is a nice moment but the tree gets in the way. Nice capture though.

The leaves on the right are disturbing for me, without them the water would be more impressive on the picture.
MrVertigoo (Tomer Rozenblum) added a critique 5 months ago:
I would take the frame out of this one. i think it will look nicer without it.
breaves (Brennan Greaves) added a critique 5 months ago:
I agree with the above comments, it is a good shot though, beautiful location
ScottCrouse (Scott Crouse) added a critique 4 months ago:
Truly a stunning location, a shame about the plant on the right but I suspect your on a cliff and movement was limited. Would love to see a more closeup of the lighthouse with the water.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 4 months ago:
i don't agree with the comments on the plant ! imo, they are interesting in the shot
good job

I think the composition works well here, dividing the image into two halves
Pradeep (Pradeep P) added a critique 5 months ago:
I agree with Brennan, nice composition. Lovely shot :)
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 5 months ago:
Technically very nice, just not all that inspiring to me. A common subject, captured in a common way.
Schmidi (Zoltán Schmidt) added a critique 5 months ago:
The composition is nice, but for me it would be better, if you could get only one boat with its mirror image in the picture, not a row of them. If it was not possible, perhaps next time...

I think that without so much of the colour saturation (or any colour at all) this would be quite nice.

Excellent Image
A very nice interpretation of the theme.
