elijah (Greg Carrick) added a critique 1 year ago:

lots of detail, great framing of field and sky, nice sight lines - well done

ian (Ian Thomson) added a critique 1 year ago:

Normally I would think the tone mapping (i presume?) was a bit too much, but with this subject I think it works really well..

Love the view and angle here..

bluesforshoes (Jeremiah Gilbert) added a critique 1 year ago:

Wonderful angle. I agree with Brandon that it might be a little too over-processed, or at least looks like it. Also, it's a bit too much of the same grey for me. That said, it still is a striking photo.

diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:

Very cool shot, nice clearity and colour. Good DOF.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 5 months ago:

Through its unreality, this shot conveys something of the magic of the game of baseball - very special image!

Best,
Jon

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:

very dramatic, nice toning. I'm not that satisfied with the grain and the lack of details of the mountains in the middle of the photo. But it's a great image nevertheless.

andygibb (Andy Gibb) added a critique 1 year ago:

nice drama and atmosphere here...great contrast

nrcowlishaw (Nathan Cowlishaw) said 1 year ago:

Thanks folks, for the comments and the feedback! I added the grain intentionally, because it shrouds noise that was already present in the photo. So I thought the effect worked very well!

tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:

Gorgeous and dramatic shot. This is my type of shot :-)

Pradeep (Pradeep P) added a critique 5 months ago:

Lovely treatment. Stunning image. I just wish the crop was a little more wider, it would have taken me there :)

This works well. I like the lines created everywhere, the framing is spot on and the color is good. Not mtuch to critique, but a very nice image.

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

Works really well. The shadow is so crisp. Everything works for this one.

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:

interesting perspective - and a great shadow as well. the only thing I'd have erased is the strange shadow in the top right corner.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 6 months ago:

This is just a great photo. I wish it had just a little more breathing room in the upper right. Great capture!

Best,
Jon

beckn32 (Kim Norton) added a critique 1 year ago:

The glowing colors of the two girls are just perfect. I really like how you've selected them and their streamers as color which really makes them stand out nicely. My only nit pic is that it doesn't fit the theme description "A frame within a frame. Could be window frame, a port hole, or anything that frames the picture in the picture." But there's been debate on the title of the theme and the description of it are kind of two different things.

charmarie (Charmarie) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this photo too love the girst expressions and color on B&W I think it's good! My critique is pretty much the same as SUBJEKTIV the right had side fence behind the girl in the pink sweater, however nicely done!

elijah (Greg Carrick) said 1 year ago:

thanks all.
it's out of my window at my workplace.

TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 9 months ago:

I love the colours, but there seem to be a few places that could have been B&W as well, a small red bit at the right, but also the green door in the background and part of the fence on the left. Overall, a really nice picture with really bright colours, which I like.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 6 months ago:

Very nice shot - a little blown out on the right, but really evokes the happiness of childhood. Nicely done!

Best,
Jon

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:

have to agree: more sharpness and a bit more contrast would have been nice. but it's a fine shot - not easy to take.

notter71 (Tom Notter) added a critique 1 year ago:

not much more that i can add to what has already been said.

kadenajack (Jack) said 1 year ago:

Thanks everyone. Before I print this I'll hit it with the unsharp mask again.

TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 10 months ago:

This is nice indeed. I wonder what the halo over his head is. Is that from the background? or is it reflection from some glass? (It looks a bit like that to me). I really like the colours though.

Sonoma added a critique 8 months ago:

Nice shot. Color is a little drab, bit I didn't have an issue with the sharpness. Nice.

I like the colors and bubbles...its fun. Makes me smile

miniTotoro (Natalie) added a critique 1 year ago:

Wow. Wonderful.
I do have to agree about the comment about the placement of the green leaf. I think it would make more of a statement if it was closer to one of the sweet spots - probably the upper right.
Love the colors and the bubbles! :)

Paulforrester (Paul Forrester) added a critique 1 year ago:

i like this photo-i would also love to see it without the bubbles

PThree (Pascal Christ) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love shots like these...but like doilyboy said, I would add just a tad more light.

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:

what a face! I'd also like to see a bit more of her hair, but it's an impressive portrait.

gazdi (Csaba Bobák) added a critique 1 year ago:

Worn minds in contrasty bw, it always works, isn't it? The task is to show this mind through the skin, and you did a great work here. Great shot.

jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:

great portrait.

Sonoma added a critique 8 months ago:

Perfect, I wouldn't add or remove a thing. Great capture!!!
