Congratulations on the feature. I love the light in this photo.

This is absolutely great shot. The composition is nice and the conrast of the flowers with the rest of the landscape is great! Yet it still radiantes that feeling of winter. Great job!!!!

Nice contrast I like the vignetting , well done Will.

very intense colours - where is this beautiful place? Really enjoyed the composition, and how all the right elements made this photo so unique! Wonderful!

Very pretty, nice colors. Image feels a little soft overall. Shooting handheld I assume. Maybe use a little higher ISO to get a faster shutter speed.
ReinerMueller (Reiner Müller) added a critique 10 months ago:
Amazing colors, great composition and again this beautiful interaction between light and shadow, which I like very much. Well done!
Fantome added a critique 10 months ago:
The colors are great. I like also the composition. As Beamer said, the picture is a little bit soft. You might try to sharpen it delicately by using a high pass filter with a post-processing software.
DREED added a critique 10 months ago:
Great colors! Nice shot.
KerriDoodle (Kerri) added a critique 10 months ago:
I really like the composition, and the butterfly is gorgeous - I don't mind the softer focus. I do find the daisies to be a bit too saturated for me - almost neon. I would keep the very saturated green, and dial down the daisies to make the butterfly pop even more.

I like the composition and colors. But it seems a little bit grainy/noisy and would be better with more DOF.
Onno (Onno Bruins) added a critique 11 months ago:
The atmosphere is very colorful and I find the grain adding to the atmosphere, but the image definately lacking a focal point.
Jessa added a critique 11 months ago:
I like the warmth and grain in this image. I agree a tighter frame would have brought this together better.
photo24 (Sven H.) added a critique 11 months ago:
good opportunity/scene ! but could be improved.
grain/noise or crop from a bigger original.
maybe bigger picture with the cafe a brighter centre.
KerriDoodle (Kerri) added a critique 10 months ago:
I feel the horizon is off, that I'm tilting to the left.
I like the color - it reminds me of photos processed in the 1960's (my childhood!).

The composition of this picture is unusual, in my opinion. I would prefer when either the house or the tree or the car are completely represented.
Onno (Onno Bruins) added a critique 11 months ago:
I miss a clear focal point. What is it you want me to look at exactly?
boyd added a critique 11 months ago:
I agree with Onno. I think that the tree is such a strong element and beautifully shown with the building as the backdrop that the car becomes almost incidental. With the car cropped, it might sit better in the "Tree" theme.
KerriDoodle (Kerri) added a critique 10 months ago:
With all of the previous comments already spoken for, I feel this photo technically needs more contrast and sharpening.

The lack of texture on the cheek is a bit disturbing for me. IMHO, either you should have left a few, or have taken off all textures everywhere on the skin.
pete (Pete) added a critique 10 months ago:
what a range of textures! although it does look like you have smoothed the cheek, to an excessive amount?
i would have liked the eye to be a bit more open, as the blue colour is great, and more of it would be even better!!
cool ideas
ReinerMueller (Reiner Müller) added a critique 10 months ago:
I agree with MMeye and pete that the lack of texture on the cheek is a bit disturbing. But nevertheless this is a very impressive image.
RachelValley (Rachel Valley) said 10 months ago:
This is titled "warning". My vision for this piece is that at first you see perfection, yet when you look deeper into the person the detail abruptly appears. Highlights plunge into fire then dark all with intent of alerting the viewer to make a judgement upon approach.
Thanks for all your comments..truly appreciated.
crahan (Thomas Bouve) added a critique 10 months ago:
Very nice image, but I agree with the others about the lack of texture on the cheek. Her eye, although only slightly visible is stunning.

Agree with all, my complaint is the tonal range is too flat. Even for a delicate subject like this, with this lighting, you need a bit more "punch", IMO.
juanantonio (J.A. Pellicer) added a critique 10 months ago:
Preciosa fotografia entre otras cosas por la coherencia que hay entre el objeto y el proceso utilizado, creo que los tonos son los idoneos. Enhorabuena. Saludos
czi_in_ok (Marcia Higginson) added a critique 10 months ago:
simplicity and lighting. Wow, you have it all here. Beautiful.
pete (Pete) added a critique 10 months ago:
the lighting is lovely, but the saturation could be boosted a bit on the flowers i think.. as Beamer says.. needs more 'punch'!
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:
I think this is lovely as is - the pale yellows are just beautiful.

The image probably would be better when the main subject would be depicted larger.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 10 months ago:
I agree with Reiner, the impact here is not very strong. Your DoF is working well, just the composition is not very strong. Because of the loose framing, you have introduced the dark area at the top of frame which causes the image to be unbalanced.
visualachievers (Anne) added a critique 10 months ago:
I do feel that bringing the subject in a bit closer would be nice, however, this shot is a breath of fresh air with it's open-mess
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 10 months ago:
Your colors are good, but the comp. is a little weak. The black at the top of the frame doesn't add anything helpful.

too few of the subject for me in thsi picture...
i would have liked it better if there was more "lines" in the photo. for exemple the same picture, same angle, but the forearm extended to the right (of the person).
but I really like the idea and I like a lot the lighting / contract.
ReinerMueller (Reiner Müller) added a critique 10 months ago:

antonio (antonio) said 10 months ago:
Thank you all for your coments. it couldnt be more of the subject on this one, a mean this is the whole picture and the intention of the subject, an arm. the picture isnt cropped or digitally manipulated.
CouCou33 (Ingrid) added a critique 10 months ago:
I guess that once again I might not have been clear ;-)
I totally realized that the subject of your picture was the arm.
And that's why i suggested a different move, not a different angle or not more of the person.
To be picky I would have even suggested to have the arm extended a little bit away from the body so that we wouldn't see the side of the man :-)
(I take it it was a composition and not taken on the spot, right?)

I like the crop and presentation of this shot and the use of black and white. I might have prefered the figures to be a little sharper, and I find the well lit portion in the bottom of the frame slightly too distracting.
ReinerMueller (Reiner Müller) added a critique 11 months ago:
I like how you captured this interesting situation and I agree with boyd that it is cropped very well. I also would prefer the figures to be a little sharper.
