so good DOF, I love it. Take a look to that lost look on the model, works perfectly with the sensation of atention to something.
Great photo.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with the comments above. I also note that your model appears to be old for her years, with a sophistication that is very appealing. Your treatment of her, especially your choice to use B&W, emphasizes this. Nicely done.

beautiful, genuine and innocent. I love it.

lovely - where was this taken?
Raza (Raza Akhtar) said 1 year ago:
This is Eze a small village near Nice, France. It was a very rainy day, but it kind of adds to the mood.
Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:
very lovely ..this is so well done ..!
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:
Wonderful.
I think the fact that it was rainy added to the saturation and thus the reason the colors are so strong.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:

so so great effect, congratulations
tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:
such a simple excellent shot! Great composition - I would only say that the wispers of blue smoke at the top right would have been more effective if they were a bit stronger :-)
aldamir (di Carlo Darsa sandro) said 1 year ago:
thx a lot your comments :)
info. to do it you'll need a strong light, smoke..., a lot of time !
color is added in lightroom, this is the only postwork, no crop , etc...
andygibb (Andy Gibb) added a critique 1 year ago:
great detail and flow to this, and as been said before would probably cropped little lower at top
leaves added a critique 1 year ago:
wow cool idea and very abstract. colorized smoke looks amazing! great shot!

jonathanpatt (Jonathan Patt) said 1 year ago:
It was a nest in a bush, shot with a 100mm macro lens.

This one is nice! Looks like a shot from early 1900's. Good work.
photofixation added a critique 1 year ago:
this is nice .. a lil blur and little more close to engine would made this picture stand out .. just my two cents.
LondonYank (Maureen Rich) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice strong image...smoke colours give good contrast and men on front and top of train add drama
Lindy (Lindy G) added a critique 1 year ago:
nice work... love the contrast:)
grahambo (Graham Siebe) added a critique 1 year ago:
I soooo like this picture. I had a train obsession when I was about 10 years old. Pictures like this bring it back.

Tammy, did you notice the swirl on the marble(?)
is like the swirl on the snail.
What an amazing composition here!
TammyLynn (Tammy) said 1 year ago:
Hi mysight, no I hadn't noticed! Cool Beans. :-D Thanks.
Thank you everyone for all your comments and critiques.
Hi Paulforrester...Yes it's set up. I had fun taking this photo. Got the snails from my garden, gave them a little rinse, used a small 6 inch high pedestal and for the background it just a white tea tray turned on it's side. Natural diffused light coming in through the conservatory.
Hi ikol22, do you still have your Canon AE1? Oh and I'm learning all the time! Thanks for your comments.

Awesome job! Very creative and nice idea. Great job! Nice shadow too.
Ramon (Alex Ramon) added a critique 1 year ago:
Wow this photo is really impressive. Did you have to coach the snail? It's amazing. The only criticism I have is that the tip of the antennae crosses the shadow in a slightly distracting way. Very well done!

I like this shot. The dark background really works for me. The image does seem to a be a little soft though. If you haven't already you might want to consider sharpening it before making any prints from the digital image.
creative666 (Craig Wilson) added a critique 1 year ago:
Seems a little soft to me, needs sharpening as Marcus said! Love the colours, very vibrant!

Lovely exposure. I love the light in the tunnel. I think perhaps a square crop off the top to get rid of some of the black area would help this.
paulflury (elp) added a critique 1 year ago:
You know I like this pic. I wouldn't crop the top it would it ruin the ratio's, he needs to be a small shuffling figure.
UnieX (Carlos Crooks) added a critique 1 year ago:
I to like this photo, but I agree with elp when suggesting to crop the top of it. It will add more focus to your subject. Nice job though! =)
Venus (Venus Nakahara) added a critique 1 year ago:
Beautiful. I love the contrast, it really pulls you into the scene. I like it as is, uncropped.
manolomartin (manolo martin) added a critique 1 year ago:
Beautiful photo. Perhaps too centered the main subject, but nice anyway.
