I like the zooming effect even if it's a little too much here (mostly because, there's no subject in the center). Too bad that the "palais des doges" (too lazy too look for the proper translation) cast so large a shadow on the place.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

You're right Olivier, thanks for ur comment.
Cheers.Eric

AndreiMorar (Andrei Morar) added a critique 1 year ago:

I would have preferred to have some kind of still points in the image. Maybe if you kept the building sharp and blurred the people.

cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very interesting. I like the set up, however it is a little blurry for me. Almost makes me dizzy! But I can see the boats right in the center are almost sharp, which helps. Maybe if there was more of a focal point it would make a difference! Still very nice though.

bokeh-junior (Ed Simons) added a critique 1 year ago:

Beautiful colours, composition and sharpness. The figure in the foreground adds interest. Could be used as a promotional picture for the Dominican Republic.

Mayne kamaki....thanks for comment ;)

uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) added a critique 1 year ago:

The colors and darkness are what make this image, IMO. If you look at this strictly from the perspective of what it is, the image may be boring, but if you look at this as an abstract, it is just great. There is nice texture and the blur of the blades is enough to give the feeling of motion.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Really good description, i like....
Thanks uncommondepth :)

Really great warm colors and tones here. This places me in some hot cabana with a cool drink.

aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:

Where was it taken? A shallower DOF might have given it an even more dream like quality.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

At Coonoor in India. For the "Dreamy effect"I tried a light "Orton effect" and it's not too bad I think, I tried even more but render is really bad..
Thanks for comments Suvir :)

jbloch75 (Jeff Bloch) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a great shot. Great processing for this topic. If the modern boat wasn't in the shot... you couldn't know the shot was recent. I could easily see this shot selling in stores. Well done.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Many thanks ibloch75 for ur comment.

kamaki (Christophe) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice shoot as usual. Only comment: what a pity for the modern cutter/boat !! the picture seams too be taken last past century....

I like the post procoessing. I wouldn't use it on every photo, but for this it works well.

chasewhittemore (Chase Whittemore) added a critique 1 year ago:

Was the peacock there when you took the photo? I like the effect around it, but it makes me think you added it in.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Of course He was !!!! What is the point if he's not there ????

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) added a critique 1 year ago:

a bit too bright in the middle - but the corners are interesting. fine use of texture.

schupin (Sylvain chupin) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very nice post processing for the background Eric. Like David, I would like a bit more vintage traitement on the statue's face ;)

SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) added a critique 1 year ago:

Love the processing and the floral designs on the edges. Maybe try using transparencies in the layers to make it blend in a bit better.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Many thanks for comments, really hepful ;)

mrsankey (Andrew Sankey) added a critique 1 year ago:

Like everyone else has said, the statue's head looks a bit out of place. A little vintage treatment to the face should fix that. You might even be able to just change the blending mode on that layer to make it fit in nicer. But the background and corners are fantastic, they look great.
