Very nice perspective. The angle give a sense of danger. Great mood in this picture

Laurie (Laurie) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the mood here a lot. There is something menacing about it probably from the angle. Nice!

jbloch75 (Jeff Bloch) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the dutch angle. Good color contrast here. I see danger here. I like it.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) added a critique 1 year ago:

aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:

I'm with the crowd on this one. I think it's too busy and since there does not appear to be any story being told by the many images, it doesn't seem to work. Points for trying something different though…

AdrianHancu (Adrian Hancu) added a critique 1 year ago:

There is an amazing "depth" to this image, feels like I could walk into the scene.

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this...it seems like a crazy, disjointed, out of control story that you are telling.

AntoineB (Antoine BARBOT) added a critique 1 year ago:

what a good idea...

VernonTrent (Vernon Trent) added a critique 1 year ago:

information overload :-)

cool idea, high impact! good.

Mayne kamaki....thanks for comment ;)

uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) added a critique 1 year ago:

The colors and darkness are what make this image, IMO. If you look at this strictly from the perspective of what it is, the image may be boring, but if you look at this as an abstract, it is just great. There is nice texture and the blur of the blades is enough to give the feeling of motion.

Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:

Really good description, i like....
Thanks uncommondepth :)

eggplant (Matt) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really great warm colors and tones here. This places me in some hot cabana with a cool drink.

Like iko said , it's like a movie's frame with 16/9, really good one Sylvain ;)

schupin (Sylvain chupin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks a lots for your comments Olivier and Eric !

Peasap (Paul) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice balance of color especiall with such a bright scene. The detail in the snow is really noticeable. Nice shot.

willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is a very well exposed. The crop ratio really works. It definitely has a solitude vibe.

Rainybeet (John Bonner) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like the documentary look of this picture

Sher (Sher Hilliard) added a critique 1 year ago:

I see nothing wrong with the "black left frame." As this category is "Through My Window" I think it quite appropriate to have both the left edge of the window and the glass.

bokeh-junior (Ed Simons) added a critique 1 year ago:

I don't think the black frame detracts from the image, it increases the sense of being indoors and looking out.

My main criticism is that the horizon is a bit wonky, and I think the left island should have some sea to the left.

I like it and wish I was on holiday again.

guffy (Stefan Karlstrom) added a critique 1 year ago:

The black towards the left is needed. However, I also think that the horizon is a bit "wonky" and should be corrected as it is very distracting.

aldamir (di Carlo Darsa sandro) added a critique 1 year ago:

Sea is not right :( This is a minimum in a "sea photography". Composition is perfect to me, I like it a lot.

erinelizzybeth (Erin) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love this. I love that the window is blurry and i like the color of the window too!

Good shot ! Public transport are not only ecologic they're also very photogenic :)

tulna (Tulna Chauhan) added a critique 1 year ago:

Excellent shot! The fact that no-one walked in on the shot is a great achievement! Also you can't work out which direction the train is travelling in. :-)

Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice shot... perfect amount of blur!

AndreiMorar (Andrei Morar) added a critique 1 year ago:

Like the blur!

Did you use a tripod?

paulflury (elp) said 1 year ago:

Thanks every one.

Andre - no tripod the lens has image stabilisation and I was obviously very relaxed and steady that day

Thanks for your comments all. I was taking a slightly less literal approach to "Light and Shadows".

My thinking was more along the lines of "Light and Dark" I guess, with the snow being the light and the fences themselves being the "shadows".

But thanks again for your comments, I'll try to stick to the theme more literally in future :)

iko (Olivier Petit) added a critique 1 year ago:

maybe you're right and i judge the theme too seriously :-). And your explication make senses.

ArneG (Arne Gulstene) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is just a stunning image. This is a WOW shot and I think it fits very well - cannot believe that this is not featured yet.

bulletproofheeb (Adam) added a critique 1 year ago:

I would consider lightening the sky just a little and then bringing the blue saturation way up. It could help make a greater seperation between the dark in the sky and the dark in the fence posts.

AdrianHancu (Adrian Hancu) added a critique 1 year ago:

still feels like winter here! nice lines in this photo ...

aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice idea. What's the break in the middle of the trail?

Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:

I agree with Pi-Production, where's the bike?

Heath (Heath Carney) said 1 year ago:

Sorry Pi-Production and Jenseye, I thought it might be a bit too 'lateral', and I guess I was right. See those trails of light heading through the frame? They're headlights on bicycles.

aperture - it's two separate bikes. The one leading out of the frame was there when I opened the shutter, and the one coming into the frame got to that point when the shutter closed again.

willie_901 (william) added a critique 1 year ago:

This is fabulous. The invisible bike(s). I like how the breeze blurs the trees too.

chromaticmelody (Dhiren Bhatia) added a critique 1 year ago:

i dig the idea, the missing bikes show the bikes in motion rather than the bikes just parked like most of hte other ones. nicely done
