bbonner (Bonner Photographic) added a critique 1 year ago:
The colours and the textures work very nicely together. I have no complaints. Fits the topic well.
Topher (Christopher Mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
Really nice! I'd like to see the focus further down in the line a little... might prefer it, don't know. That would lead me into the picture some more. Beautiful capture.

Very nice capture! The shoes in the foreground really pop, and that's the idea, i think with this shot. I might have cropped a little also.
Best,
Jon

To be honest,I don't like the left&right part of your pic like boughey said.Your bike is lost in middle of the steps :(
jaapv added a critique 1 year ago:
Though technically well executed, I don't really see what this picture is about. just a bicycle parked at the bottom of some steps.....
erinelizzybeth (Erin) added a critique 1 year ago:
It's good. I think it would be better if you would have zoomed in on the bike a little.
AndreiMorar (Andrei Morar) added a critique 1 year ago:
Try improving the composition by cropping the upper part of the image as to leave just the stairs.
Try leaving just the middle part of the stairs.

An interesting shot, but a little static. Pretty light, especially on the horses.
Cheers

this is nice .. the dark wall could have been avoided or cropped
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very nice.
I agree that the wall could have been cropped.
I like the lines that are running across the top that are created by the combination of poles.
Plus you have the railroad which leads you through toward the center of the picture!
nrcowlishaw (Nathan Cowlishaw) added a critique 1 year ago:
Should add this to the complexity theme on WeeklyShot! Nice!
mizztech (Maria Little) added a critique 1 year ago:
the lines leeds your eyes into the picture, great use of tones, fit perfect for this picture, great compo, for me the wall isn't disturbing..
great picture!!
pops added a critique 1 year ago:
Busy, busy, busy but no movement. And, while the wall casts a nice shadow, I think I'd have done without it.

Good atmosphere. I think the sepia tones work right here.

Fun picture! Nice and sharp!

Nice freeze! I can't tell from your EXIF, but you maybe could have gotten around not liking the background by trying to have a shorter depth of field? Having the background a little more out of focus would place more emphasis on the car.
Great shot as it is though.

Neat shot, nice clearity and colour. I find the wires on the groud a little distracting.

agree, composition could be better, the birds in the sky, if they are birds are distracting to me, I would have painted them out
grahambo (Graham Siebe) added a critique 1 year ago:
I think the idea behind the composition is good.
If the birds were removed, then converted to B&W (mostly on the red channel so the church would stand out), I don't think the other issues (power lines, blue building, cell tower) would be as noticeable.
weeneydog (Keith Johnson) added a critique 1 year ago:
The main distraction for me was the birds, I love the green grass contrasting against the red. I agree with grahambo on the blue building but I think the power lines give it a perspective in time and express the rural area.
diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:
I love the idea but find the sky very distracting, could be the birds or the hazy brightness.
birba (Roberto Pagani) added a critique 1 year ago:
There are a couple of things that do not convince me in this picture:
some elements, as the network line, poles and steel tower take out a right atmosphere; Do you think would be possible to clone such elements?
I would like to ssee more contrast in the picture;
I would have applied the rule of thirds keeping the church either on the left or on the right.
I would suggest to you to try to introduce the above "improvements" and to see the result.

I like this but somehow I think there should be a little bit more light on the face? The shadow is kinda blocking out the face so you can't see much details there.
But it's a great effort nonetheless.

instantly,I say that is a good one.
This one is wonderful. Where was this taken?
Paulforrester (Paul Forrester) said 1 year ago:
Thanks Carl, this was taken at a festival here in Korea. I am a teacher, and i have taught these girls-they saw me with my camera and asked me to take a shot of them-and then they posed like that-i also like the way it turned out!

fun-tastic shot, such a feel good vibe to it :)
Great shot! I find that I focus on the blur more than the shoes in the front.
