Thanks for the comment! No flash was used on this picture. It was actually taken adjacent to a large sliding glass door. I post processed in lightroom. Thanks again

I think this pic works fairly well. I like that the head of the animal is pressed up against the lower edge of the frame, almost like he's trying to escape. I might play around with the crops on the left hand side a little, making the space a little tighter. Also I might try to play with the animals color a little in photoshop, especially in the eye area. Not sure if these ideas would help or hurt the image, but my 2 cents. :)

Very interesting.
I think the suggestions above could improve this and give more of the effect that you were looking for in a more dramatic setup.
Very nice job.

What a sad look in that eye. Makes you think. I like it.

I like the composition of this shot and the thoughtful way that it is not a regular interpretation of the subject. Well seen.

This is a good and interesting take on the Shallow DOF - I think some creative cropping would improve your shot a little, however.
Best,
Jon

The power line alone would add to the feeling of abandonment. However, with that antenna on the roof and the wires from it to the home the feeling of abandonment diminishes. So that antenna is a distraction is in my eyes.
Otherwise, great colors and composition.

Very cool .
Great composition, leading the eye and having multiple elements that show you the abandoned state of this!

Somehow, I'm missing the right side of the building, if you have a landscape version of this building, you might post it as well, to compare the two compositions.

I apologize for uploading this picture here...I thought I was uploading to the portraits topic. Anyone know how to move pictures to another topic?
Nice lighting on this one. Was it an off camera flash or natural light?
