Nothing is sharply focused here - maybe it's my monitor... no wait... one bottle is kind of focused. The highlights are blown in the foreground - the bokeh is cut almost in half at the top of the photo - very distracting. Now that I think about it, isn't this kind of blue?

Sure it is a garden, good take on the topic. But I still miss something more, maybe a well-thought composition instead on a snapshot-looking one. Or maybe I don't get it right. Anyway, I like you did not shot flowers. :)

@lolly: Yeah, your right. I had to play with the red ones a bit... Barely felt like I knew what I was doing that night.... Once the moon went into the full eclipse mode, I had to go to longer exposures and you'd be surprised how much the moon moves in 2 seconds...

Yes, I do! It's a bit like taking sunset cloud shots, the sky changes very quickly. At least you had a go; I certainly couldn't do it!

This is a nice example of how far one can go with DOF playing. I follow Brian's remark about the 'just lightly more in focus'.

This is an interesting and good attempt, but your focal point, in my opinion, needs to be slightly larger. What is your subject? What are you trying to say with this shot?

@Thank for the comments. This was an exercise in shallow DOF. At the same time I was trying to measure min focus distance. This was shot using a Canon 17-85 lens @85 and f5.6 (wide open). I used an everyday artifact to help me measure.

I would have to say chicken wire or maybe even a fishing net. Can't really decide. Interesting though.

I get a very dark and foreboding feeling from this. I has lots of mystery also.

Thomas, this is a very engaging shot with good lighting and interesting use of line and texture. It almost looks like some sort of strange kiwi fruit in a shopping bag ... but that may be my southern hemisphere perspective.

this one is good...how long was the exposure? i guess if you had framed it with a little space on the top instead of the bottom it would have looked better.
