I really like the sharpness and punch of the three flowers however the background is too distracting for me. I would have blurred them more. Even though the fronts are sharp, they blend into the background too much for me.

Goooood job, nice image and great colour.

Clyde,
For me, your yellows are good, but the green background steals the show. Nicely composed - no surprise there, I suppose. The light and shade play - wonderful!
Best,
Jon

Really lovely contrasting orange color against the blue sky.

Unexpected composition for this shot, but it works really well. Shannon is right, the colours are the key here - beautifully exposes with very good dof to carry the landscape.
narnold (Noah Arnold) added a critique 9 months ago:
wow...It's already been said but the orange against the blue sky is very beautiful!
Neuner added a critique 9 months ago:
The colors are great & I like the punch. I think there's too much of the sky shown so I would have made it square format or possibly tightening in on the subjects in a landscape format.

Clyde,
Love the comp and your blues - i wouldn't change a thing.
Cheers,

I don't understand why this is under the PIP in topic. It doesn't appear to be related at all.
I think the biggest issue is the focal point. Some of the plants are in focus but the person is not. I also think there is too much of the sky in the photo. I would have either tightened up the photo or dropped the composition down.
sfkp (Tamara) added a critique 9 months ago:
I should crop it too. The purple thing in the upper right corner is really distracting me. My advice is to crop it horizontaly just above the highest big white flower on the right.
btw: my question is also: why in this topic??

That's funny ! I just posted a picture from the exact same spot !! :-))
I just simply love this place...
Nice capture from the children at play.
How did you like Bordeaux ? (it's my home town ;) )
taikrixel (thomas mueller) added a critique 1 year ago:
brilliant with the reflections, but i think the image turns to the left!?
ericfish added a critique 1 year ago:
nice one.
I am thinking maybe you can go more closer, include less sky and more reflection.
narnold (Noah Arnold) added a critique 9 months ago:
I love the reflections...great shot!

this is really beautiful. I agree with Neuner, I do wish the image was a bit sharper. Overall nice capture

Really a good composition. If the crosses were sharper, maybe this were an almost perfect shot, blurring the building.
I like it! :D
Have you tried it in B+W?

Nice shot, I would have liked it to be a little crisper, but great none the less. Good coloring.
bradford (Bradford Levine) added a critique 1 year ago:
Excellent shot - nicely framed and composed

Love the rim lighting and your colors are wonderful. Nice composition - I might have straightened it a bit, I think. Well done.
Best,

I love it. The simplicity of it makes it beautiful. Almost has a negative image feel to it. Seen many ice storms up close and personal and this makes a beautiful photo.
pouhou (Tony LUJIEN) added a critique 1 year ago:
Prime I thought it was a negative because of the contrast between the sky the main branchs and the thin branchs I was wrong.
So I like the usage of negative space that increase the minimalisme of this picture
trphoto (Tony Rath) added a critique 1 year ago:
Could use a little more contrast, and maybe a little more of the tree
photo24 (Sven H.) added a critique 1 year ago:
simplicity.yes.
but the color and dull tone.no
;-)

Very nice work and wonderful use of negative space with a negative image - just kidding. Well seen and well done!

I liked both, but as said before, the lack of focus on the Tattoo hurts the concept.
koo88 added a critique 1 year ago:
Great b&w shot. Tattoos are the bodies art and can be captured in so many great photographs.

This photo just warms your soul. The color is so energizing! Beautiful.
