The waves almost look like they are painted texture

This is a nice sunset scene. The quality of the image is very low though. I am not sure if this was a digital image or a scan of a film image, but there is a lot of grain and pixelation which detracts from the overall scene quite a bit. It almost looks like the sharpening filter was used very heavily because of the highlighting around the edges.

I do not scan film, so if this was a film image I can't offer any suggestions for improvement, but if this was a digital image, I would say back off on the processing. Some softness in this type of image is acceptable, even expected.

agree with uncommondepth. but would still like to say superb capture, it is beautiful execpt for the issues mentioned. will you repost?

The colours are just wonderful. It is a pity that the sky is grainy. Perhaps the foreground could have an even larger contrast to the background?
