Yeah I agree. This capture was tough (Underground Atlanta) and he kept looking around and I didn't want him to see the camera, but I agree it could be framed better.
Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:
That is really good exposure for Underground Atlanta...he looks a bit paranoid or nervous, nice capture.
bigoode (Anthony le Bourlier) added a critique 1 year ago:
He looks an actor, i like a lot the colors in background and the light on his face

A pic within a pic. Great. I like how the eye is drawn to the red car.

I wish you good luck for the contest! The dragonfly might definitely win a prize - wonderful capture!
Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:
Contest? OOO what one?
I agree with the cropping, but I absolutely LOVE the moving wings and the capture!! Fantastic!
uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) added a critique 1 year ago:
Hey Amy! You know what I think of this shot already, but I want to add to the comments here. Having the dragonfly in the center gives it the feeling of coming right at you. You better duck before you get hit!! It's an amazing shot - hope you get some recognition for it.
jcniguez (José Carlos Ñíguez) added a critique 1 year ago:
Magnifica y dificil fotografía. No sólo ha sabido capturar el vuelo de este insecto sino que además es como si saliera de la fotografía.La situación de la libélula más hacia el marco superior izquierdo le daría más "aire". Color muy agradable. ¡ Felicidades!
Ladybug (Lisa Ruokis) added a critique 1 year ago:
Absolutely amazing capture. I'm jealous! ;-)
There's something so special about dragonflies, and this one is so pretty. I also love the background colors.

The focal point is the head and one arm. It's what looks like a smile on his face and the arm.....saying come closer......that is the intention here......thanks for the thoughts anyways.

I love this one. Such detail
cutebutstupid (Amy Baxter) added a critique 1 year ago:
It's a holy **** for me! I think it's excellent as is. The colours are fabulous and the eye is lead in perfectly to that arm. 'Nuff said.

Very nice. It looks a little underexposed to me, though. Perhaps brighten it up a little?
I love hibiscus and know how deceptively difficult they can be to photograph.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:
Agree, the exposure/lighting is wanting here. The subject has great potential, just need to see it better.
TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 1 year ago:
needs a little more light... very beautiful and simple.
Jenseye (Jen) said 1 year ago:
Thank you very much for your comments.
I agree it may be a bit dark...but I thought the details fit the theme of "fill the frame".
Whites are very hard without "overexposing" them, so it can be a fine line with exposure.
diezel99 added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice idea that requires more light and saturation to really capture the beauty.

Very beautiful capture. I like the way the pages appear to be floating in thin air. Awesome contrasts.... well done.

¡amo esta foto! amo cómo el ojo de uno puede hacer hacia fuera el resto del cuerpo de los dos; el cuerpo del hombre y el cuerpo del piano...
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 1 year ago:
Well deserved feature, congrats.

I really enjoy this photo having played the piano myself. When you're playing you're only paying attention to the sheet in front of you and the enjoyment of the melody. I think your capture relates to this aspect extremely well.

As it is under topic sign, what was your intention
a- showing graffiti on sculpture
B-showing sculpture as a sign.
reserve my constructive critism on reply,
im not sure of what augusto critiq is about but it must be the car distracting the take
dcannaday said 1 year ago:
Yes, I was wanting to show off the graffiti on the sculpture. I tried to get a better angle, but there were too many cars around. Believe it or not, this was my best shot.
Always welcome constructive criticism..
Jenseye (Jen) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great sculpture, too bad about the car, but some things you cannot control. nice job.
lasiate added a critique 1 year ago:
oui photo à reprendre sans la voiture et avec une personnage
TerynYancey (Teryn Yancey) added a critique 1 year ago:
i think the car does distract from the sign... nice photo.
Nice capture in a low light environment. I think he is a little too centered in the frame, maybe just capture a touch less of the dark frame on the left and a bit more on the right.
