Good capture! The only critiques I'd suggest are the overcast skies in the upper left corner and half-cut H in the bottom; tighter crop on the left would help it. I like how square crop works here.
JBridges (Jim Bridges) said 3 months ago:
The funny thing is I originally had it cropped a bit more to almost entirely get rid of the H on the license plate--and I am not entirely sure why I reverted back. (I think part of it was just wanting to give the "winged lady" on the hood a bit of breathing room on the left side.)

Great shot. I guess you applied some desaturation here. It certainly goes well with the weather. This square crop works well indeed.

the cropping is perfect
i love the rain
the car seems like its almost overexposed but not...

You have some spots on your sensor that could be easily cleaned up. Love the pic.

Very nice shot! I like it in B&W. Great how the sun rays fall through the trees.

I really like the light. If it was cropped out, the image would have less impact, imho.
JBridges (Jim Bridges) said 3 months ago:
When I posted this on my photoblog, I also got a comment about the flares of light at the top... and I think the best advice--which I handily forgot to heed before posting this here--was to crop out the two smaller blobs of light at the very top, but leave the larger one. I think it needs the light, but I think the answer is between leaving it as is and cropping it out entirely.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 3 months ago:
Leave it alone, it's very nice the way it is!! My only comment is that it's a little soft overall.
AmberDawn (Amber Sullivan) added a critique 3 months ago:
That was my thought when I first saw it - crop out the top light and leave the rounder one and then I would maybe crop out the very bottom fish too. Nice!
elaine (elaine vallet) added a critique 3 months ago:
well, if i were to crop something, i would crop the bottom fish... I love the light where it is :)

Overall, I like this photograph a lot.
Perhaps, some negative space above the sun would not hurt the impact; also a small diagonal line in the lower left corner distracts a little bit.
JBridges (Jim Bridges) said 4 months ago:
Fedor: Thanks for the comment. I hadn't even noticed the diagonal line in the right corner, but now that you point it out, I can't miss it.

Me gusta, yo habría evitado las siluetas de los árboles y habría cortado un poquito por arriba. Me encanta el pelo brillante con la luz.
Saludos.

This is beautiful, what is it? Looks man made??
JBridges (Jim Bridges) said 4 months ago:
Since you asked, it's an antique Gramophone. I have a picture of the entire thing on my photoblog from a month or two ago.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 4 months ago:
Very cool, thanks for sharing!!
Superbe et traitement impec.
