Congrats on the feature Leigh-Anne. A duo of duos. Very cool take on the theme.

Every time I see sunny side up eggs I think, "...this is your brain on drugs." :) Great shot!
Lamdennison (Leigh-Anne Dennison) said 1 year ago:
Thanks all! Wow, I was surprised by this feature. Behind the image - we only buy organic eggs from grain-fed, cage-free chickens. These were the first two out of a carton of unusually large eggs. I was so astonished to see two double-yolks that I grabbed the camera, of course! (I don't know that I've EVER gotten doubles - let alone two in a row!) Even more amazing, every egg in the dozen were doubles.

Quadro! - a little something from everyday life .. and your 'organic' egg story adds a nice touch of flavour.

I think this is a brilliant shot, disturbing but brilliant. Hope this shot gets the recognition it deserves.
dcrphotography (Daniel) added a critique 1 year ago:
Certainly has some impressive shock value, but I think the image falls short of its potential due to distance from the subject. One gets a feeling the photographer is an objective, distant viewer. Opposed to a person trying to really understand the woman's plight. I think this in part comes from the almost pin-up nature of the image that is created by the pose, location, and angle of the shot.

I agree with Dave Mac.
It also disturbs me even more since it appears that she has what looks like a Cesarean scar, which would mean she gave birth to a child at some point. Tragic.
paulflury (elp) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very uncomfortable, body and face contorted and good background with the graffiti covered wall. I do like dcrphotography feel it's a little too distant.

The Opera House. Nice one. I'd been thinking of posting a similar shot myself, but never quite got around to it. Yours is better :)

The DOF in this shot doesn't really seem that shallow - there's still plenty of detail in the background.
Marco (Marc-Antoine VACHON) added a critique 1 year ago:
I don't like the center position of the flower
jaapv added a critique 1 year ago:
The background is too obtrusive, and the flower looks like it has been plonked in the middle by photoshop.
AndreiMorar (Andrei Morar) added a critique 1 year ago:
Too centered, too many useless details around the flower. Crop, crop , crop!
cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:
I also would crop it a bit more, but I love the coloring in the flower!

Trying to work out what this is. Love the details in the droplets.

Thanks Heath (and good to hear from you). This is the vent on the top of a classic Weber charcoal grill on a beautiful morning after a soothing summer night's rain. I just couldn't resist how lusciously these rain drops were beading up on the slick surface.

Not sure what this is..but the colors and the blur are fantastic.
slumdog (Michael Hargrave) said 1 year ago:
Thanks! It's a theme park ride.
Heath (Heath Carney) said 1 year ago:
Ha! Nice work.
I have a similar shot of what is probably the same ride - but mine was taken in Brisbane - heathcarney.com/montage/index.php?showimage=264
slumdog (Michael Hargrave) said 1 year ago:
Looks the same. I took my shot at Moomba Festival on the Yarra River so it probably is the same ride.

The focus emphasizes the double yellow duo and there is much unity in the circular motif. Eye-catching.
