This is lovely, superb long shadows and the golden light makes it even more beautiful!!
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:
Wonderful shot - long shadows are powerful. Also they indicate something behind the viewer which gives the photo a sense of greater depth

Congrats!!

Beautiful. It's as if there's a virtual railroad there. (The lamppost taking the role of telegraph pole.)

Amazing image. It made me just stop and think "WOW" in big glowing red capital letters!
I disagree with the comments saying it's oversaturated, I think it goes pretty well with the "epic" mood.

Thanks a lot Birba and Nattfodd!

George, seen this before, but glad to see it again. I love the quality of light, and the softness is really perfect!

The lines not being parallel add to the urban decay theme, great capture and the detail is good. Is this HDR capture?
DaveMac (Dave MacIntyre) said 1 year ago:
Thanks chromaticmelody! This is not an HDR shot.

Beautiful composition - very unusual, but it works, doesn't it! This is very contrasty - almost a litho in some places, but extremely effecitve. I feel like it needs some straightening - it needs to come left, but maybe that's just me. Lovely work! Makes a great impact.
Best, Jon
austriaka (Karin) said 11 months ago:
I love this one a lot for its feeling of lonelyness. The overall composition and the division into two parts is great.
Still the bright/overexposed area above the person is a little bit destracting and the trees could be more vertical
DaveMac (Dave MacIntyre) said 11 months ago:
The heavy contrast in this shot really adds an element of cold. I love it!
Saxi (Stephan Sachs) said 11 months ago:
fits this theme perfect!
Ana (Ana Cortez) said 11 months ago:
I agree about the trees..... I want them to be vertical.
But gosh, this is amazing and wonderful.
And a fave.
I love how this looks.

Wow! Great find. Can you walk around this place? It looks beautiful from up above.
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
I believe there is a way to get down into the place but it doesn't look used very much. This structure is basically down in a sheer drop shole in the center of a city. It's wild. I'd love to walk around down there (with camera in hand), that's for sure.

Kim, you have seen the most amazing things.
You are always surprising me with new subjects.
This one really illustrates how nature
reclaims its' space eventually and inevitably.
Ana (Ana Cortez) said 11 months ago:
this is so amazing. wow.
I'd love to walk around there, too. WOW.

superb atmosphere, grats for being featured. and i think i see you in there. the shadow hitting the bench splits strangely, your shadow could end there.
