What a magnificant, ornate interior.

Oh wow! I would love to see that church in person.
Looks like you got every one's attention there.

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for the comments. It is l'Eglise Notre Dame in Montreal, Canada. It is indeed one of the most beautiful interiors I have seen.

Wow - what a beautiful photo.

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks Arne!

doilyboy (Martin Grey Gottlieb) said 1 year ago:

Top notch Craig! I love the straight lines, the fog, a hint of color. Very cool.

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks again. Interestingly, the colour is as is - I didn't desaturate this at all. It was just a bleak and foggy day.

This was taken in downtown Toronto - two of the TD Towers at left and front, and First Canadian Place to the right.

Ana (Ana Cortez) said 1 year ago:

Well, the bird makes the shot..of course.

guffy (Stefan Karlstrom) said 1 year ago:

I think the trees make the shot. This is a very uncommon shot of Toronto from a unique view, at least in my eyes. Most are taken from the waterfront.

I like it, and I think the black and white suits very well. Good job.

Thats really nice! The out of focus background looks perfect. Maybe put the entire flower in focus though (as in, the top part as well)? I guess its all about personal preference though. :)

Excellent. I have no idea how this is done. Was he stood really still or is it a combination of multiple exposures?

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for the comment. It is just a longish exposure (I can't recall how long, but probably 2 sec or so), and the two in the middle are standing still. I highligted them by desaturating everything else.

NobodySpecial (Michael) said 1 year ago:

Really nicely done.....captures the frenetic nature of modern life.

codystanley (Cody Stanley) said 1 year ago:

Very well done,
Almost like a 'Where's Waldo' but instead of a goofy scarved character you find a perfect expression of the topic.
Neat.

Just wonderful. Makes me sad, but still... a great photo.

SUBJEKTIV (Sigrid Kleinecke & Kurt Tutschek) said 1 year ago:

an impressive image, though a sad one. the muted colors add a lot of atmosphere.

CraigMartin (Craig Martin) said 1 year ago:

Thanks for the comments. It is indeed a sad image.

It was only sometime after I edited it the first time that I went back and de-saturated it, and I agree that it adds to the sombre mood of the shot.

It was taken in Nha Trang, Viet Nam.

uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) said 1 year ago:

Fantastic image! Is this, in fact, a street person, or is it somebody cleaning up the streets? We see a person without shoes with baskets full of what looks to be garbage, but from there we have to draw our own conclusions.

I see a woman sitting on her shoes to protect her clean linen pants. She is wearing a face mask to cut down on the odors from the garbage she has picked up off the streets: while trying to make her community a better place for everyone.

Look at it differently and the whole mood of the image changes.

doilyboy (Martin Grey Gottlieb) said 1 year ago:

Great capture Craig. Processing looks perfect. AS for the story that goes with it,
I'm thinking it's someone collecting recyclables for cash? I'm so naive though, I wonder if that even occurs in Nha Trang? Set me straight...
