Interesting symmetry which underlines the contrast between the gondolas and the modern boats on each side. Otherwise, the composition feels quite static (the horizon is too centred, for one thing) and the lighting is not really interesting, which takes away some interest.

A very good photo, and one I rated very high for the topic.
If I could make a suggestion, I might make a slight adjustment to curves or exposure to give the bright areas a little bit more detail. It might also benefit from some local contrast enhancement of some sort (think USM with a very low intensity and big radius).
