The idea and the composition are good.

For me the areas of sharpness seem confusing. It is sharp in the eye, the right edge of the frame and the bottom of the frame but blurry on the eyelid and left edge. I don't understand what the focal plane is doing here. I wonder if this might have been cropped from a much large picture?

Yeah, something is up with the sharpness. Don't know what. Otherwise this is nice.

To me this shot would have been outstanding if the entire thing was tack sharp and completely in focus. I really like the comp and the colors are fantastic.

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. I agree the focus is "off", im going to go back to the source image to try to figure it out.

And yep, it's a pet. That's "Yogee", my significant other's 6' long iguana.

As a thumbnail it looked fully focused and crisp. Unfortunately it is too blurred for me. I love the composition though.
