Superb colours and ligting.
Nothing to really critique.
Congratulations!
Jondor (Gerhard Hoogterp) added a critique 1 year ago:
A stunning image. Mostly symmetrical but for the flowers which gives it a bit of tension.
As for two minor nitpicks; a little more dof so the right flower would be sharp too and maybe a tent to control the reflections on the vase.
aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:
Excellent tones. I like the crispness of the image. Though the harsh reflections on the vase are a bit distracting, so a slightly more diffuse light source might work better.
extrajection (David Hawkins-Weeks) added a critique 1 year ago:
Superb lighting and love the symmetry. Very difficult to find anything that could be improved upon, would endorse Jondor's comments above, beautiful work!
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) added a critique 1 year ago:
Great lighting and detail. This deserved a feature.

Excellents shot. Nice blue.
jbloch75 (Jeff Bloch) said 1 year ago:
Brian, I love this shot. Let me wax nostalgic for a minute. Ahh, it takes me back to the late night edit sessions on the old Stat and taking a smoke breaks with Billy and James... slugging down burnt cheap coffee. Isn't TV is magic. Well done

Great shot.
I guess the reflection in the drop is post-edited.
Naturespixel (Leisa Hennessy) said 1 year ago:
Thank you all :)
@ Bastian no this is how it came out of my camera... only thing done is slight curves and unsharp mask :)

I like this picture, but a little bit to dark.
Jolie mise au point sur les gouttes, mais hélas au détriment de la clarté globale de l'image.

ahhh it's gorgeous. ...perfect as it is! Ahh I wanna hang it on my wall. =)

I really liked this one during ratings. The faded colors and grain make it look like something taken in the 50's or 60's.
BodhiBlink (Tom Bodhi Reeves) said 1 year ago:
super rad. It's great, and I agree with what roberta said!
oliverchank (Oliver Chank) said 1 year ago:
Thank you for your comments! I chose this picture for it's energy and lights... Even though it's 2006's New-York's time square, its buildings remain stylish in an old fashioned way...
bslomovic (Brant Slomovic) said 1 year ago:
You've captured the right angle on Time Square for this image. The other side, looking down Broadway reminds me of the city in Blade Runner. And Im not sure even the great processing here could have made it feel vintage ;)

That's CARPET!?!?!?!?! WOW...sooooo cool! At first it looked metalic, too me and the bright spot looked like a reflection on metal...WOW!

Does the sign have some sort of significance, that I'm missing? The flippancy of its message ruins this image imho. The soft focus also draws attention to the sign, whereas normally I may have not really paid it much head.
doilyboy (Martin Grey Gottlieb) said 1 year ago:
Hey, thanks Andrew for the comment. Never thought of that. The sign has no significance, unless you plan on fishing. It's just a person in solitude caught in a moment on a pier.
BodhiBlink (Tom Bodhi Reeves) said 1 year ago:
I like it with the sign in combination with the woman...I know many fellows who go "fishing" for ladies, and since she's on the other side of the sign, she's available! so much meaning... ;)
Great shot!
