I think maybe an idea that would solve both my thought about the bottom of the image and also Chris's distaste for fliped photos... Crop it just a bit from the bottom to lessen the feeling of the photo being upside down, and lighten it off so it fades to white...I'd add a dark gradient overlay on the top left to add to the effect and I bet it'd look ridiculously cool. Maybe some extra saturation in those colors on the cranes too...play around. Nice photo!
TheAntipodes (Menno van Zaanen) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like the liquid feel of this photo. The lines of the crane at the top of the photo are just wonderful.

Really great reflection....could almost be abstract.

Love how it looks like a painting in the thumbnail preview.

I've been wanting to ask... What is this? Heh.
It looks like you were really close to it when you took the photo, but you have no reflection... so I'm confused. (I enjoy being confused... that's a compliment.)
Nantel (Andre Nantel) said 1 year ago:
This was taken at the Moma in NYC. You probably don't see my reflection because the sirface is concave and the bottles were behind a reflective glass.
BodhiBlink (Tom Bodhi Reeves) said 1 year ago:
ahhhhh, I see how it is now... it just looked so awesomely CG before, but it all makes sense. what a fantastic work of art. most excellent photo.

I like a crop line that drops vertically right between the gap in the bands of light on the stone, and cuts across between his hand and that major fold corner of his robe. There's also this strange blue that seems stronger around him, and more grey the farther it goes back. Not sure what I think about that, but it's cool. Is the top of his head missing some saturation? just looking with piercing eyes, poking holes, sorry. ;) Lovely photo, I also spent a good time looking at it peacefully.
Michael (Michael Bakker) added a critique 1 year ago:
very nice photograph, a little more contrast would do it for me.

I appreciate all the time everyone has taken to critique the image. thank you.
jsmanseau added a critique 1 year ago:
I really like this picture, but I agree with brandon that the hand and stones (?) in the back ground are a bit distracting. A tighter crop maybe, but the orange and face are great.
sunside (Markus Mayer) said 1 year ago:
I disagree with jsmanseau. I find that the stones add value to the composition and so does the hand.
A bit more room over his head and a bit less of it on the left would have been my preferences, but that's an invalid format I guess. :)

The skin tone matches the eyes so well. Is that a bike wheel she is looking through?

Nice atmosphere, great light!
Almost looks tilt-shifted / miniature ...
thoughtdujour (thought du jour) said 1 year ago:
how happy you must have been to get that red roof in the photo, to have the mist only in the back, and then to have the sunlight in the foreground!
Either you must be really lucky or you camped there till you got this great light!
Either way, congratulations!

Wow, so crisp you can feel the frost, excellent capture! Almost feels like a model...

Neuner said 1 year ago:
I love the sharpness & feeling you captured. It's hard to relate the grade of slope in a photo without a vertical reference but you've pulled it off nicely. Everything about it makes it a favorite for me.

awwwesome.... I tend to turn my head to look at it though, maybe a more natural gravity obeying angle would make it even more trippy? I dig, nice concept.

Truly an amazing shot. Thanks for sharing.
I'm not a big fan of having photographs fliped,... IMHO I think that it would have worked better if you had both, the original, and the reflection on one image!
