Wow, instant fave! Great mood and grit to this thing. Love the grain.

Best,
Jon

More from my recent trip to Joshua Tree NP and my first big experiment with film, this is Delta 4000 scanned at 4800dpi. Thanks Jon!!

I like the composition of this shot. The Joshua Tree and rundown building are a perfect subject. I wish I could see a little more of the rocks, but they are just fine as is.

I like that there are 3 subjects in this photo. It makes the viewer not just look at it but study it.

Wow, it looks like a building I visited in 1979 while at 29 Palms (only a little less of it). It looks a little flat, I'd run the red or/and green level a bit to avoid changing the sky much.
don't miss jumbo rocks at Indian Cove or the chloride pits (very strange colors) to the west of Amboy road. or the Oasis(es) up the wash from encilas ave in 29 stumps.

Super landscape. Yes, this must be Joshua Tree NP. I visited it last year on a trip through the South West of the US.

My first impression was that the demolished building could be an old Mexican church, with the leaning electricity pole as a cross. The silhouette of the Joshua tree makes it even stronger.

I like your use of film.

This could be the album cover for U2's Joshua Tree, I think this is one awesome image.

Well, in case they need a new one, you know the tree from the original album shoot is dead now:

Looks like early Mel Gibson - what were those movies where he was driving about in some apoc i lip stick vehicles - peter max or something? Still a favorite.
