I think the cropping is done very well. The smoke pulls the eye was I think you intended.

I absolutely love the color in this picture. You captured this perfectly. :)
ronjones (Ron Jones) added a critique 1 year ago:
Indeed, it is beautiful. The colors, the lines, the composition work extremely well.

I have the feeling of being in a movie with James Dean. Great, great mood.

...and I don't mind the softness, BTW.

You've only posted a couple photos so far, but they're really great. Keep 'em coming!

Cool my photo was featured.
The camera I used for this photograph of my lovely wife was my Olympus XA rangefinder. Best darn $20 investment ever and beats most of the point & shoot digitals out there. Long live film!!
lbstone (Brandon Stone) said 1 year ago:
Ah... nice. I really like my XA. Definitely worth tracking one down.

I love the colors in this. The panorama gives a feeling of grandeur; and when combined with the colors puts a person in awe of the entire view. Well done!

good idea but something miss

I also like the concept. It makes me want to look through the keyhole and see whats on the other side. I think maybe its missing the doorknob.
chromaticmelody (Dhiren Bhatia) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like the idea, and the composition right in the center, but its missing something. The blownout highlights help bring hte idea for sure. Maybe a person coming in to take a peek through? Very good concept though.
dcrphotography (Daniel) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice idea, but the composition is just plain boring. MB there is just too much negative space.
cashleym (Ashley Tanner) added a critique 1 year ago:
Very nice!!! I like the light shining through.
Great colors in the clouds! Wish i could see this as a panoramic just to see what it would look like, with the clouds and sunset going off to the right.
