Thank you very much for all those awesome critiques/comments. I'm so glad you like it.
@Neuner:
That's cool. Actually the photograph does give me a vertigo too, although taking the photograph didn't give me a vertigo.
And thanks to all those who made my photo a favorite.
Have a fabulous day,
Bastian

Fantastic image!! Makes me kind of dizzy! I know what it is but it still looks kind of like a slide to me too! The color balance is very nice but I wish the sky was a little more blue!I think this is an excellent photo!
AntoineB (Antoine BARBOT) added a critique 1 year ago:
trés belle photo
je lui trouve un coté fantastique, grace aux couleurs mais aussi par l'angle de vue plutot inhabituelle.
dommage que le premier plan soit cramée

rien à redire sur cette photo sinon que j'aurais aimé en être l'auteur. félicitations

Interesting photo. I like the colors and processing. The man is a bit small, though, and seems to get lost in the image (not that you could do anything about that).
jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 1 year ago:
I like this because it is about time and space. I think that you have used the space well - the poster is a humorous touch, in my opinion. Time and space are greater than man - so this man is small - at least, that is the way in which I view this photo. Nice work.
Best,
Jon

That's a good compo. I share jvgphoto's interpretation. The humankind is small compared to time and space.

This is an interesting shot that has an interesting idea at its heart. I would consider cropping the top to really "fill the frame". I can also see some unexpected colours, almost from playing with the levels a little too much. I like the way you resisted the urge to straighten the coins into a neat pile.
Jessa added a critique 1 year ago:
I agree with boyd, cropping at the top would help this image. The blue dot is a bit distracting to me. I think it might be a little too contrasty. The uneven stack does provide interest.

thnks so much!
this really did draw my attention to certain things i could have done better. I didnt even notice that the space was that big in the top of the photo..thanks for pointing it out =]
nattfodd (Alexandre Buisse) added a critique 1 year ago:
Nice shot and good idea, but as others said already, this feels a bit too contrasty and saturated. I would also definitely have cropped out the blue light at the top. It's also a shame that the bottom coin is cropped.
AntoineB (Antoine BARBOT) added a critique 1 year ago:
i m agree for crooping the top
there's maybe too much contrast ?

Maybe no colour would suit better.
Pi-Production (Eric Rousset) said 1 year ago:
Quite good angle and sorry Antoine I like the colors ;).The "vigneting" is soft and textures are great , well done Hélène :)

i agree with the first comment
i don't think fog is the main subject.
strong atmosphere

nice looks a bit like a paintig, i like it
mikeock (Mike Adams) added a critique 1 year ago:
I really like the atmosphere of this shot.
Great painting like effect!
Wonderful colors.
I agree that maybe a crop of the bridge would help a bit as this would bring the fog in as the main focal point.
I think that the photo does fit into this topic as is, it just does not jump out at you!
paddlepunk (Holger Neu) added a critique 1 year ago:
i like the reflections on the fenze
aperture (Suvir Venkataraman) added a critique 1 year ago:
I really like the idea. But I agree with the first comment, I think the fog lends atmosphere and is not the subject. Also I'm a little unsure of the tones in the sky, they don't appear to fit well.

Amazing detail!! The composition is wonderful. I think the shallow DOF with the amazing detail in the leaf you've captured is complimented with the perfect light! This is all around a great image -- nothing to critique!!
LadyWings (Kara Brothers) added a critique 1 year ago:

Very pure color. Wonderful sky. The picture is beautiful whith or without the 2 small people.
zenith9 (Bob and Jeannie) added a critique 1 year ago:
The colours really set the scene here. I think the scene could have been improved if the person or people were stood on a higher part of the rock - they are tucked away a little and so lose a touch of impact in the scene.
chromadreams (David) said 1 year ago:
thanks zenith9, i agree with your comment, but i had a problem..., I made it with a 70-300 objective, I didn't new those people, you know what i mean?, ;-).
thanks for the comment again.
lolly (lolly smits) added a critique 1 year ago:
Not sure about this one! When I look at it in my browser and see it only up to just above the people's heads, it actually then *does* look like a minimalist image. And you then have three bands of colour -- the two in the sky and the water, with the dark rock on the right acting *then* as the focal point. I would really like sort of image. :~)
thoughtdujour (thought du jour) added a critique 1 year ago:
since we now know that it is a candid capture, I can say nicely done.
Oh, 10 second late... Thanks Kombizz.
