Very serene. I love looking at it. Where was this image made?
Ladybug (Lisa Ruokis) said 1 year ago:
So tranquil . . . I can imagine the sound of the frogs and crickets here! Beautiful colors too.

You don't get shots like this without putting in the work. Great shot, Frédéric, bravo!

Too perfect! It wouldn't have had the same impact without the blur. I just know this clown eats children.
laanba (Laurie Ballesteros) said 1 year ago:
Thanks you two. I'm not normally afraid of clowns but it was certainly creepy to come across this while I was wandering the carnival grounds.
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
Hell yeah this is friggin scary! If my daughter saw this, she would run 100 mph in the other direction.
dcrphotography (Daniel) said 1 year ago:
yikes!
Neuner said 1 year ago:
Oh yeah, this is great. Nice capture with the blur which totally makes it creepy. Some photos make you wonder where people find these things & this is definitely one of them!

Nice light and colors. Any hints to what it is?
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
I don't know what it is, but I like it.
Laurie (Laurie) said 1 year ago:
I think this looks like the inside of a clothes dryer (at least that's what mine looks like) or maybe a front load washer, but I have no idea what the gold thing is unless it's one of those fabric softener balls.
Very cool shot, neat tones.
beckn32 (Kim Norton) said 1 year ago:
This is so cool. A wonderful abstract and well deserved feature.
Ourlittlehood (robin roels) said 1 year ago:
Thanks a lot every body for the fine comments you gave me on this one! As Laurie said, this is the inside of a washing machine with one of those fabric softener balls. ;-)
And I thought we were living in a modern age, so I was expecting some more right answers from the men around this place, heehee.

Morning Vernon,I've had my coffee.
This is a fine composition and execution.
I kinda wish I could see past those flowers too!
Just enough angle on the model for a hint of what's
around the bend.
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
The PP on this is just superb.
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:
I too like the processing on this one. I also like the composition and the "idea" behind this image, as well as the elements you've chosen to bring together.
dcrphotography (Daniel) said 1 year ago:
I don't care for the flowers coming out of her butt...
uncommondepth (Roberta Murray) said 1 year ago:
Excellent processing Vernon. Really impressive image.

I know you asked for a critique, so here is mine.
Personally, I wouldn't touch it.
It's good as is.
kitaoka (Mark Kitaoka) added a critique 1 year ago:
The composition of this image displays the classic triangular element and follows well the rule of thirds. Your choice of the focal point utilizing a shallow depth of field forces the viewer to move their eye around the image after initially focusing on the main petal. The tones are muted, which adds to the feeling of the image, one of seriousness as well as beauty.
No criticisms for this image.

I don't see how to improve this photo. I love it!

Really nice Georgia O'Keeffe feel to this. The the tones and the texture in the macro shot. What is your camera?
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
Olympus E-500 with the Zuiko 50mm macro(an excellent lens).

Looks like an edge of a cake or a mountain glazer. I know I'm totally wrong on this but I do like the black and white.
Blizzard (Beef Jerky) said 1 year ago:
I would have guessed some type of sponge if I didn't know better.
I have seen a lot of close-up mushroom shots, so I'm assuming that this is one as well.
You did a good job on this.
It does have an abstract quality.
lbstone (Brandon Stone) said 1 year ago:
Yeah... I'm going to go with mushrooms... That was my first thought. ;)
methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:
you can see the maggot-holes on the right. it's mushroom, pretty sure.

That is a beautiful reflection, I like the fact you cannot see the horizon. I would try one thing though, to clone out some of the watermarks in the lower half. I think that would make the image even cleaner.
adevrx (dev) said 1 year ago:

AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
Great shot. It's like out of a dream.
methan (András Németh) said 1 year ago:
thanks.
zenith9, you're right, for sure. withal the fact that i was too lazy to tinker away at the watersurface, it was quite intentional to keep the picture at least somewhat real with these little gunks around. not an entirely succesful intention, if i consider angrybuddha's comment. controversaly, i've the same feeling about it, that's why i submitted it to a topic called "dreamscapes" on jpgmag.com; if you like it, you can vote on it here: jpgmag.com/photos/129775 (excuse me for the self-promo).
aloha_photo (Jeff Sisemoore) said 1 year ago:
Wow. Just came across this one. What a fine image! The absent horizon makes this image exceptional.
