I am hoping to receive feedback on the b/w conversion.
This barn is FULL of colour and maybe I'll post a colour version later. But for now, I'd like to know if I could do better with tones and shadows and stuff.

Hey, I like this one, the tilted part looks like the silo is holding it up. Here comes my most common comment: it does look a little flat, which given the sky is not all that bad a thing. Maybe just a little more brightness in the highlights. There are many subjects where you don't need to have pure white to pure black, but an outdoor building shot like this sorta needs more punch, IMHO.

I think it needs a bit more contrast. I do love the subject here. It looks ancient.

I agree with the contrast maybe also something to separate the background from the foreground, no idea what it would be though.

The tones could lose a little punch but they are not bad as is.

I've been working a lot with b/w and trying to get the tones correctly done.
I'm going to post the colour version now!

I'm not sure. I think the flat tones add to the fact that this place is in such decrepid condition and can never be restored. I like it as it is.

i think the conversion is good. i do wish the white barn walls were a little whiter though. As everyone else has said, its tough with that sky!
