Strange subject, very interesting. It looked like a face in the thumbnail. I like the composition and the tonal range. The color does feel strange, but this may well be what it looks like??

It does look like a face and I have captioned it " The Look". Thanks for your comments!

I think you did the purple cast on purpose? Anyway, the whole scene feels a bit stange imo. I don't know exactly where I'm looking at. Maybe zoom out a bit would be good, 'couse it would show the scale of your subject - I do miss that in your image.

Interesting subject and treatment here Apurva. I like the off-balance composition that you have used, and the colour cast issue that others mention is not so big for me (but that might be my monitor). Also, as Tamara says, it would be good to get an idea of scale projected with the image.

Afoklala (Jan Willem van Dormolen) added a critique 8 days ago:

Again, I don't have trouble with the scale. Since the holes are apparently doors or windows, the scale is clear to me.
And it does look like a face. I like it.

For a moment, I thought that the window was a painting! I like the creeping bush on the right, but I feel like the sky is overexposed on the right side. I do know that it is hard to get such perfect lighting for both the sky and something else, I would think that this would be an excellent shot that could be taken as an HDR. I like that the window is not directly in the center and that the bench and bush do not draw the eye away from the window. Overall, great picture!

great shot

love the fact that it isn't a typical window!

I really like the way you've intertwined nature and manmade elements in the design of this image. The window does resemble a painting. For that reason I would crop the top sky out of the image and draw the viewer in to guess whether it is a painting or not. I would also punch up the colors and sharpen a bit. Very well thought out and good capture. Inspiring to me....:)

great shot! i love the composition and the colors. made me do a double-take at the photo to try and figure it out.

I love the simplicity and elegance of your composition here, particularly the placement of the seat and bush in the corner to give scale and place. Well seen and a fab shot, well done.

The wonderful perspective makes this a dynamic shot. Good detail and great tones. Well done.

willie_901 (william) added a critique 7 months ago:

You have a great eye.

One aspect of digital cameras that no one ever mentions is their propensity to ruin lovely images with chromatic abberation and purple fringing. These distortions are plainly visible on the left edges of three windows (left side).

That said, you envisioned an interesting photograph and composed it intuitively. Keep following your instincts. They are excellent.

Very original shot !
perhaps, increase the contrast a little bit.

Interesting shot. One of the previous commenters suggested that the man was not there. I think he supplies scale.
