Good choice for a square format, Pradeep. Very pretty light - so delicate - well done. The comp. is nice - did you have a difficult time with the crop on this one - just curious...
Best,
Jon

Me gusta mucho este tipo de tratamiento. Veo que lo tienes en varias de tus fotos. Desde hace una temporada intento practicarlo un poco.

Love the format and your processing! The off-white/white area in the lower right is a bit disconcerting and within that area there is an inverted U shape which looks like it needs to be cloned out.

Nice shot and nicely treated J.A. I agree with Jon, I would have dodged that a bit. This could work nicely in b&w for the High Key Topic.

thanks for all the comments, but please note that this photo is part of a series:

Maybe it's just because I have taking to the square crop more and more in my own work, but I think the square format works for this image. Sure a landscape cropping might emphasize "empty space" more, but I think that still comes across the way you've done it here. It's a really nice photo.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 4 months ago:
Lars, thanks for sharing the link to the collection. I would make the same composition comment about the whole series. This type of subjects, it seems to me, feels "cramped" or restricted in a square format. Just my opinion.

Lars, very interesting series. Although this shot is strong on its own as is (colours, detail and foreground are fabulous), I would also prefer the main subject to be offset from centre to give the feel that it is a bit more isolated (preferably to the right so your eye has to travel across the frame and up the stairs). It just seems a bit too contrived with the current composition. Looking at your comments above is interesting given that you have invited critique.

Great picture, I love the isolated feeling of the shot. The fact that you can't see the tide anywhere adds to this i think and i especially like that...

I still love the colors in this photo, I like this crop (I would say it is equal with the larger crop imo). I like this crop because it really shows the detail in the coloring! Well done

wow i really like this!
sfkp (Tamara) added a critique 4 months ago:
I like this crop better! You left a tiny space between the four leaves of the front fower, that's a bit risky sometimes but in this case it works well.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 4 months ago:
I agree with Noah the other cropping is much nicer. This one is too tight at the edges, no "breathing room".
HuubL added a critique 4 months ago:
See me response on the other image. Also, I think this crops takes a little away from the sense of sharpness you had in the other photo.

Great idea; square crop works here; I miss the texture of the table, which would be here with greater DOF.

Hey, very creative! I only noticed because it's around 4 right now. I guess it needed my mind set ;)
sfkp (Tamara) said 5 months ago:
@ Soreks: although I used a large diafragma (F=5), a larger DOF wouldn't show any texture becouse it's completely smood of it's own. It isn't real wood, but that laminated stuff.
@ Huub: wake up, you need some coffee!! ;)

Great, simple composition. Makes me wonder what's going on besides sharing a drink!
Enhorabuena. Saludos
