I see what you mean Clyde, in fact I have the very same capture you are talking about; this was shot before I set the scene. But I wanted an objective opinion on this before I post the other one. Thanks a lot :)

well... I like it as is. For me the black border on the left creates balance to the candle which is more on the right side, and the bottle of perfume...hmmm... maybe it is just my imagination but it creates very "sexy" atmosphere ;) What I like the most are the lines in the candleholder and the blurry lines in the window - just love it!

Yeah redcat, thats what I was gunning for, the lines in the candle and the blurry lines in the window. And I am glad you like this one as it is. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I can see how some might or might not like the composition here Pradeep (the placement of the bottle in particular). What I really like more than anything else is the quality of light that you have captured here and the fact that you saw so much potential in this subject and pulled off a very classy image. Well done.

This image leave me saying, "huh"?? I think this has a lot of potential, but just seems cluttered and confusing in this capture. The dark border down the left is not adding anything and creates an imbalance. The candle and holder are brilliant but the bottle (perfume?) is totally confusing. I would love to see a composition that includes the candle and it's holder and the matching pattern in the bokeh, maybe in a more squarish compo.
