Excellent! I bet some criticism will be forthcoming regarding the blue in the upper right corner. For me, it gives this photo something special - it's almost a spiritual quality - well done!

Best,
Jon

Pradeep (Pradeep P) said 4 months ago:

My thoughts too Jon, thats why I made the other version. But I couldnt decide between the two, just wanted to see what everybody else thinks. Am really glad that you see something special in it, Thanks :)

Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 4 months ago:

I prefer the warmer coloring. What I would suggest is to crop left and bottom to loose the partial window panes that distract, IMO.

smucha (shannon mucha) added a critique 4 months ago:

This has such a lovely, mysterious feel to it. Well done!

willie_901 (william) added a critique 4 months ago:

I like the color in the other version a bit more.

In naturally lit scenes there is often a variation in color. After all the blue could be from the sky.

I would crop an L shape from the left and bottom, leaving just enough black to frame the scene.

This does give the special look to it. I think it's timeless.

Me gusta aunque creo que estarĂa perfecta si sobre el ave no hubiera luz.

I get what you are saying Ana, but this was shot at midday, this was the only way I felt I could make the shot work. Thanks for commenting Ana, appreciate it :)

This is a fun shot. I like the square framing and the way that the lines lead my eye through the space. Great movement in the hair!

dreamer247 (Ben Godkin) added a critique 9 months ago:

Great lines and composition, this works well as a square.

TimTim74 added a critique 9 months ago:

This works very good indeed with the lines. It makes your eye move over the whole frame. And a square format keeps it perfectly around the solhouettes.
Great job!

Ludimaginary (Richard Vantielcke) added a critique 8 months ago:

Nice surreal frame
Love the different lines in the composition.

Great you got no lens flare with that type of contre-jour...

Perhaps we should start our own theme?

Great! Nice composition and attention to detail.

turkana (César) added a critique 8 months ago:

pure forms!! I like it so much. The composigtion is good although I crop the picture with the roof in the bottom left.

Eye_See added a critique 8 months ago:

I agree with turkana. Cropping the left side would create a more dynamic photo.

jvgphoto (jon van gilder) added a critique 5 months ago:

The composition is weighted too heavily on the right side - interesting subject and good for the topic.

Best,
Jon
